The results are given of comprehensive measurements on the magnetic and crystallographic properties of the ferromagnetic Heusler alloys Cu2MnAl, Cu2MnIn, Cu2MnSn, Cu2MnGe, Au2MnAl, and the antiferromagnetic alloy Cu2MnSb. The alloys Cu2MnBi and Cu2MnGa are polyphase and the ferromagnetism may be due to binary phases present. The indirect exchange effects which may give rise to ferromagnetism and antiferromagnetism in Heusler alloys are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
