Introduction: The primary attachment figure is mostly defined as the mother, and studies focus on the mother. However, in many babies, basic attachment is just as good with the father as with the mother. It is seen that there are very few studies in the literature investigating the correlations of father-infant attachment relationships.. The aim of this study is to determine the father-infant attachment status and to determine the factors affecting attachment. Method: The population of the cross-sectional study consisted of the spouses of all puerperant women hospitalized in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic between September 1, 2018 and October 1, 2018. The sample size consisted of 156 fathers who agreed to participate in the study. Father identification form and father-infant attachment scale were used to collect the study data. The analysis of the data obtained from the research was carried out on the computer using the SPSS 16.0 package program. Results: 156 fathers participated in the study. The mean age of the fathers is 33.64±6.49, and 38.5% of them have a bachelor's degree. 91.0% of fathers stated that they felt ready for fatherhood. The fathers' Father-Infant Attachment Scale mean score was 82.60±7.72 In the analysis, the difference between the variables and the total score of the scale was found to be statistically insignificant (p>0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: At the end of the study, the bonding process of fathers participating in the study with their babies and the factors affecting this process were evaluated and it was seen that the father-infant attachment scale mean scores of the fathers participating in the study were high and were similar to other studies. In addition, when the basic factors affecting father-infant attachment were compared with the attachment scale mean score, it was found that there was no statistically significant difference.
This study aims to investigate the relationship between consumers' social media addiction (SMA) levels and their online purchasing intentions (OPI) while examining the mediating role of attitudes towards online advertisements (ATOA) in this relationship. Additionally, the study aims to explore whether the demographic characteristics of consumers influence their levels of SMA, ATOA, and OPI. An online questionnaire consisting of the ATOA, SMA, OPI scales and demographic characteristics was shared with 402 participants using convenience sampling. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling were applied to the data. T-tests, ANOVA, Levene, Tukey, and Tamhane T2 tests were used for difference analysis. According to the results, social media addiction positively affects the attitude towards online advertising and purchase intention. There is a partial mediating effect of the attitude towards online advertising in the effect of social media addiction on online purchase intention. Discriminant analysis results show that social media addiction is higher among single students between 18 and 25. While the attitude of young and single students towards online advertisements is more positive, the attitude towards online advertisements is more negative in consumers aged 36 and over compared to other consumers. Online purchase intention is higher in female consumers with a bachelor's degree or higher education level and lower in consumers over 36 years of age with a low-income level. Thus, it is recommended that practitioners focus on this target group in online advertising.
Introduction: Preconceptional care is an important opportunity to identify risk factors affecting the pregnancy process and to provide appropriate care. In this study; it was aimed to provide preventive health services related to reproductive health to couples who applied for marriage and to emphasize the importance of midwives in preconceptional care services. Method: The population of the descriptive study consisted of couples who applied to Izmir Bornova Municipality Marriage Office between June 15, 2016 and June 15, 2017. Sample selection was not made, all couples who agreed to participate and were given counseling formed the sample (n: 126). Data were collected through a questionnaire using face-to-face interview method, and their analyzes were presented in the SPSS 20.0 package program by making a percentage distribution. Results: The average age of women is 26.0±4.0 (min:18.0-max:42.0). It was determined that 91.2% of the participants planned pregnancy after getting married. 42.6% of those planning pregnancy use cigarette, 33.9% use alcohol, only 20.9% exercise regularly. 96.0% of the participants stated that consultancy should be given before getting married, 30.2% of them stated that this training should be given by experts and 19.0% by midwives. Discussion and Conclusion: In our study, where we evaluated the application for marriage as an opportunity and offered preconceptional counseling, it was determined that the participants planning pregnancy had risky lifestyle behaviors and wanted to receive formal training from experts. It is thought that preconceptional counseling, which will be given by midwives by expanding its scope within the scope of primary health care services, will contribute to harmony in marriage and the formation of healthy generations.
