Objectives To study the complications and consequences including maternal morbidity and mortality following indiscriminate self-consumption of abortion pills reporting to a tertiary care center. Methodology This is an observational study conducted at Vanivilas hospital between January 2012 to December 2013 for 24 months. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 104 women were studied with respect to period of gestation, parity, clinical features at presentation and management in the institution. An analysis of maternal morbidity and mortality was done with respect to surgical interventions, ICU admissions, need for blood transfusions and maternal deaths. Observations and results In this study, there were 75 (72.2 %) cases of incomplete abortion, 10 (9.6 %) cases of missed abortion, 2 (1.9 %) cases of ruptured ectopic and 2 123(1.9 %) cases of rupture uterus. Seventy-eight (75 %) cases received blood transfusion, 7 (6.7 %) were admitted to ICU, and 2 (1.9 %) developed acute kidney injury. There were 2 (1.9 %) maternal deaths in the study group. Conclusion This study shows urgent need for legislation and restriction of drugs used for medical termination of pregnancy. Drugs should be made available via health care facilities under supervision to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity due to indiscriminate use of these pills.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a series of recording devices, mechanical and automated machines, documents, creatures, or individuals that have one of the user identifiers and the ability to substitute information over a network without requiring human-to-human connections. The IoT technology is used in different applications to transfer information between two or more stations or devices using actuators/sensors. The IoT has many fields of application, including smart home, healthcare, transport and logistics, and industry. Each application gives highlights and important and explicit administrations. This paper provides an overview of IoT applications, discussing their current problems and potential challenges. In addition, it focuses on issues and challenges that arise for future IoT systems including enormous scaling, planning and needs, generating information and big data, strength, frankness, resource management, privacy, and security. The secure data transformation is more problematic in ongoing research. So, this survey presents security attacks and different security mechanisms involved in IoT applications including authentication, encryption, blockchain, and trust management. Blockchain with IoT applications provides good secure data transfer compared to other security mechanisms. So, this survey mainly concentrates on the blockchain with IoT applications and its latest issues. The objective of this paper is to analyze the issues and challenges of IoT applications, eight research topics in existing systems, security attacks and their countermeasures, and different security mechanisms confronting the IoT.
Present study was undertaken for development of gluten free processed products i.e. cookies and pasta by incorporation of gluten-free ingredients in different proportions. Gluten free raw ingredients i. e. finger millet (FM), pearl millet (PM), soya bean (SB) and groundnut (GN) were assessed for their nutritional characteristics. Results of nutritional analysis concluded that these ingredients are a rich source of crude fibre, protein, fat and ash or mineral content. Different formulations were prepared depending on variation of ingredients in each formulation. In case of cookies, the formulation containing all the four ingredients i. e. FM, PM, SB and GN in equal proportion (25% each) was liked most and scored highest on 9-point hedonic rating scale. Whereas, in case of steamed pasta (PS) and steamed as well as fried pasta (PF) products, the most acceptable formulation was the one containing 30% PM, 35% FM and 35% SB flour. Also, PF was liked more than PS as frying increased the palatability of fried products. Although, all formulations of both products were moderately acceptable having organoleptic score more than 7.0 as per assessment on 9 point hedonic rating scale but, the formulations containing higher amount of pearl millet were scored slightly lower as compared to other formulation mainly due to the lower values for sensory parameters such as colour, flavour and texture of such products. Incorporation of nutritious gluten free ingredients increased the content of essential nutrients such as crude fibre, crude fat, crude proteins and mineral or ash contents to a significant (P≤0.05) extent as compared to control.
The molecule of the title oxobutanoate derivative, C12H13ClN2O3, is nearly planar; the interplanar angle between the benzene ring and the mean plane through the hydrazono-3-oxobutanoate unit is 2.69 (3)°. An intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal packing, C—H⋯O(3-oxo) interactions link molecules into dimers. The dimers thus formed are linked through C—H⋯O(carboxylate C=O) interactions, leading to the formation of ribbons along the [01] direction, which are stabilized via Cl⋯Cl [3.2916 (3) Å] contacts. The ribbons are stacked via C⋯O contacts [3.2367 (12)–3.3948 (12) Å].
