With an emphasis on teaching and learning computer networks, this paper discusses a practical study on video transmission under adverse network conditions. Video services occupy a substantial percentage of today's Internet traffic. For this reason, investigating video transmission under adverse network conditions is crucial and could lead to a better understanding of the QoE perceived by the end-user. This paper employs a theoretical-practical methodology/approach to discuss video transmissions under adverse network conditions. The experimental results obtained show that the quality of the video was affected in transmissions under adverse network conditions, with a direct influence on the QoE perceived by the end-user. This paper discusses a current/relevant theme and employs a theoretical-practical methodology/approach for the study and understanding of the subject, with an emphasis on teaching and learning computer networks. This paper discusses a current/relevant theme focused on Information Systems and Information Technology, under the multidisciplinary perspective of management.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
