This research was conducted to identify subsurface stratigraphy at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) area. The information of subsurface stratigraphy becomes more important for minimizing the effects of changes in soil structure. We run the Geoelectrical resistivity method using Wenner-array along four measurement lines. Field data measured consists of electrical current and potential difference to calculated apparent resistivity values. Then, the apparent resistivity data were inverted to obtained true resistivity values. The results showed that subsurface stratigraphy was composed of three main layers. The first layer was characterized by higher resistivity values ranging from 39 to more than 86 ohm-meters interpreted as topsoil. The lower range of resistivity values at the second layer was identified as clay with resistivity values from 9.36 to 39 ohm-meters, while the higher resistivity values ranging from 39 to 86 ohm-meters and marked by Brown to red colour below the surface at the third layer was identified as clay sandstone.
Information of subsurface stratigraphy is needed during the process of preparing multi-story buildings to avoid problems in determining the level of multi-story building piles. This research was conducted using the geoelectric method to study the subsurface stratigraphic conditions in the area. Based on the measurement results, we find an overview of the subsurface stratigraphic conditions consisting of soil in the first layer with resistivity values ranging from 305 to 570 Ωm, the soil in the study area is red-yellow, namely podsolic soil mixed with sand and gravel. The second layer is clay layer by water saturated with resistivity values between 15 to 44 Ωm, and the third layer with resistivity values varying from 112 to 341 detected from the surface is sandy clay. Insertion of coal at the first measurement point was detected buried at a depth of 17 m from the surface with a resistivity value of 962 Ωm.
Dinding luar bangunan sering kali dianggap tidak menarik, kotor, tempat menempel iklan-iklan yang tidak memiliki izin, dan dipandang sebelah mata, akan tetapi jika dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran visual bagi anak-anak. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memperkenalkan anak-anak sejak dini tentang seni dan pentingnya bekerja dalam tim. Selain itu, dinding bergambar ini diharapkan mampu menjadi media edukasi yang efektif kepada anak-anak dan masyarakat sekitar mengenai pentingnya 3M (menjaga jarak, mencuci tangan, memakai masker) dimasa pandemi covid-19 bagi masyarakat sekitar. Dinding luar bangunan dilukis dengan gambar hewan, buah, informasi 3M, dan himbauan untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Anak-anak usia PAUD hingga SMP dilibatkan dalam menggambar dan mengecat dinding. Dari kegiatan ini, anak-anak tidak hanya belajar akan seni tetapi juga gotong royong dan bekerja sama. Selain itu, dengan adanya sosialisasi 3M berupa visual/gambar dapat membatu anak-anak dan masyarakat sekitar dalam mengingat pentingnya 3M.
