Abstract. Insurance is a form of protection against unexpected loss events. In modeling insurance claim data that contains large or extreme claim values, composite distributions can be used. One such composite distribution is the Weibull-Pareto distribution. In this article will discuss the application of the composite Weibull-Pareto model with parameter estimation using the Maximum Likelihood Estimation method on data of property insurance claims in Indonesia. The data in this article are secondary data from the insurance company PT. XYZ in 2016. It contains claims of property insurance policy holders in Rupiah data. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test is used to test distribution matches. The result of the application shows that the data of property insurance claims of PT. XYZ comes from the composite Weibull-Pareto distribution population.
