In this paper we have calculated the link distance of the selected route and the reliability is checked, cost analysis is done for the selection of the best feasible route. This integrates routing decision of network layer with battery capacity estimation of MAC layer. For designing the new routing protocol, concept of the minimum hop scheme is considered. We propose Link distance Reliability Cost (LRC) based cross layer route discovery for WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) that improve the end-to-end throughput, delivery ratio and node energy consumption in WSNs. This approach also decreases the chance of loss of data because we have assured that battery capacity is not below the defined value. Analysis and Simulation are performed to study the performance of LRC.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
