The psychological evaluation in social skills helps the psychologist to inquire in the patient the existence or absence of deficits in this area. This aspect can facilitate the planning of intervention strategies that can be used. This study performed a systematic review in search of scientific productions that approach the psychological evaluation instruments in social skills, on the basis of MEDLINE, SciELO and BVS/BIREME. The survey selected 31 articles related to the various stages of the human development in children, teenagers and adults. The results indicated that the biggest advance in the social skills evaluation area occurred in the last five years and that all the evaluated instruments in the studies got favorable outcomes. However, it's still necessary to enlarge the social skills evaluation for the planning of future intervention in contexts of prevention to treatment.
