CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND SCIENTIFIC LITERACY OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN EAST JAKARTA AbstractPISA in 2012 and 2015 shows the level of scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students is at a low level. One of the factors that influence the literacy ability of a person is the ability to think critically. The research aims to determine the relationship between critical thinking skills and high school students' scientific literacy in East Jakarta. The study was conducted in four state high schools in East Jakarta. A total of 167 students were taken as samples chosen by simple random sampling. The method used is descriptive with correlational studies. The average value of critical thinking skills is 45 in the category of lace. The level of scientific literacy of students is at level 3, which has been able to identify a scientific problem described clearly in the context of the level of science. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.45, with a coefficient of determination of 0.199 and a simple regression model. Ŷ = 0.66 + 2.39X. This study concludes that there is a positive relationship between critical thinking skills and scientific literacy, where critical thinking skills contribute 19.9% to scientific literacy. AbstrakPISA tahun 2012 dan 2015 memperlihatkan kemampuan literasi sains anak Indonesia berada pada taraf rendah. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan literasi seorang adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan literasi sains siswa SMA di Jakarta Timur. Penelitian dilaksanakan di empat SMA Negeri di Jakarta Timur. Sebanyak 167 siswa diambil sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan studi korelasional. Rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 45 berkategori rendah. Level literasi sains siswa berada pada level 3, yaitu sudah mampu mengidentifikasi permasalahan ilmiah yang dideskripsikan dengan jelas pada tingkat konteks sains. Koefisien korelasi yang didapatkan sebesar 0,45 dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,199 dan model regresi sederhana. Ŷ = 0,66 + 2,39X. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan literasi sains, dimana kemampuan berpikir kritis memberikan kontribusi sebesar 19,9% terhadap literasi sains.
Tanaman Anggrek dikelompokkan menjadi dua berdasarkan tempat hidupnya antara lain anggrek terestrial dan anggrek epifit. Dikarenakan keberadaan spesies Anggrek di alam semakin terancam, banyak dari spesies Anggrek dibudidayakan di kawasan konservasi ex situ yang digunakan sebagai pusat pelestarian keanekaragaman tumbuhan dari kepunahan, salah satu kawasan tersebut ialah Kebun Raya Bogor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan keanekaragaman anggrek (Orchidaceae) yang terdapat di dalam Griya Anggrek dan yang terdapat di luar Griya Anggrek, Kebun Raya Bogor (KRB). Penelitian dilakukan di dua lokasi antara lain di dalam Griya Anggrek yang dibagi menjadi 4 titik sampling dan di luar Griya Anggrek yang dibagi menjadi 3 titik sampling. Setiap titik sampling dibuat 3 plot dengan ukuran 10 m x 10 m. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbandingan keanekaragaman Orchidaceae yang terdapat di dalam Griya Anggrek dan sekitarnya pada Kebun Raya Bogor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di kawasan Kebun Raya Bogor keanekaragaman tumbuhan anggrek yang berada di kawasan Griya Anggrek memiliki keanekaragaman yang lebih tinggi daripada diluar kawasan Griya Anggrek. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena adanya fasilitas yang memadai, penjagaan suhu, kelembaban, serta intensitas cahaya yang menjadi faktor pendukung keanekaragaman nggrek yang terdapat di Griya Anggrek lebih tinggi.
The 21st century is marked by the use of technology in learning. One example is the use of smartphones as learning media in the form of Mobile Learning Modules, which are expected to make it easier for students to learn biology material. This study aims to develop biology learning media in the form of Android-based Mobile Learning Modules on the Immune System material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). Research procedures include concepts, design, material collection, product manufacture, product testing, and distribution. The study was conducted at MAN 9 Jakarta. The research involved media experts, material experts, students, and biology teachers. Data analysis using Kolmogorov Smirnov, statistical tests using Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed that the Android-based Mobile Learning Module for the Immune System material was rated by an average score of 91.4%. The average pretest and post-test scores were 57 and 78.8. The conclusion of this study shows that this Android-based Mobile Learning Module has fulfilled the requirements as a learning medium and can improve student learning outcomes on the Immune System material.
Abstact. Seagrass ecosystem has an important ecological role for the life of marine organisms and as one of the suitable habitats for the holothuroidea group, known as sea cucumbers. One of the distribution areas of Holothuroidea in Indonesia is Pulau Bira Kepulauan Seribu. this study were undertaken to investigate the composition, abundance and species diversity of the holothuroidea as constituents of benthic communities, and to determine the quality of waters in the seagrass ecosystem. Descriptive method with survey design was used in this study. Data analysis was carried out descriptively based on the calculation of abundance, composition, and diversity, while the analysis of environmental parameters affecting holothuroidea diversity was carried out by principal component analysis (PCA). The results showed as many as 3 species were identified as Holothuriidae, with the highest to lowest abundance consecutive namely Holothuria atra (1.77 ind/m2), Holothuria leucospilota (0.16 Ind/m2), and Holothuria fuscocinerea (0.10 Ind/m2) with the composition of 86.96%, 7, 90% and 5, 14% respectively. Species diversity is classified as low criteria, while the environmental parameters that affect species diversity are dissolved oxygen, turbidity, orthophosphate and Biologycal Oxygen Demand (BOD). Although some environmental parameters were still in the normal condition, analysis of the community structure of Holoturoidea indicates a decline in water quality.
