This study empirically tested a model involving Marital Commitment, Positive Communication Style, and Family Process as mediators that support the influence of Love to Family Happiness. A total of 201 families consisting of father, mother, and one adolescent representing all the children in the family, participated in this study. Family participants have the characteristics of average numbers of children of 2-3, with spouses married for more than 10 years, with senior high school or college education level, were intact families, spouses were not in the process to divorce, and the whole family lived together. Children participants were junior or senior high school students in Yogyakarta. Participants were asked to fill in several related scales. Family Happiness Scale, Family Process Scale and Scale of Positive Communication Style responded by the three groups of participants, namely Father, Mother, and Children. Love Scale, and Marital Commitment Scale were responded by husbands and wives. To test the model Structural Equation Modeling was applied using LISREL 8.80 program. The result shows the theoretical mediating model of Marital Commitment, Positive Communication Style, and Family Process strengthen the influence of Love on Family Happiness fit with the data. This suggests that (1) marital commitment and positive communication styles are important personal characteristics for the realization of family happiness, or in other words, love is insufficient for the realization of family happiness; (2) family process has a strong role as a mediator between marital commitment and positive communication style together, on family happiness. Further concluded theoretically that the essence of the realization of family happiness is rukun that includes closeness, bonding, and caring, which manifest in cooperation among family members.
This paper discusses validity, practicality and effectiveness of computer-based learning media with interactivetutorial model for medical physics subject in West Sumatera. The prototype was validated by six validators of learning media, language, and medical physics learning. Based on their suggestions, the prototype was revised. After revised, the prototype was tested to detemine practicality and effectiveness of the learning media. Questionnaires on practicality of learning media were filled by medical physics lecturers and students. The effectiveness of learning media was obtained from test sheets. It was obtained that: 1) computer-based learning media with interactive-tutorial model is valid in terms of the aspects of didactic, construction, and technique; 2) computer-based learning media with interactive-tutorial model is practical in terms of the aspects of time, usage, and equipment of learning media component; 3) computer-based learning media is effective.
The present invention relates to an Photocatalyst coating of MnO-Fe2O3/PS from natural materials. Photocatalyst is a method for reducing liquid pollutant materials using ultraviolet (UV) light to produce oxidizing and reducing species on the surface of the catalyst. The catalyst used is MnO-Fe2O3/PS. The tools used are HEM-3D (High Energy Milling Ellipse-3D Mention), XRF (X-Ray Fluorescene), XRD (X-Ray Difraction) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). The precursors were made by adding 0.5 grams of polystyrene and 0.4 grams of MnO powder and Fe2O3 powder. The coating is carried out by using the spin coating method and temperature variations using a furnace. The result of this research is that the MnO-Fe2O3/PS nanocomposite coating made has the best photocatalytic properties at a temperature of 60ºC with a grain size of 168.73 nm. photocatalyst coating of nanocomposite MnO-Fe2O3/PS to produce an energy gap of 2.4 electron volts.
