We will discuss a simple multitasking philosophy based on a close link among four (4) groups of scientific findings from the complicated forests, the shallow or deep seas, and the small islands future technologies, as well as its dramatically impacts in Maluku province economy. The results are then compared to world high multitasking technology system based on our proposed philosophy linked to biodiversity called as multitasking philosophy in diversity (MPD). The detail of simple explanations of such complicated multitasking diversity is presented. While the multitasking impacts in diversity of two to three different multidisciplinary fields are highlighted in a simple way step by step. This novel MPD has been analyzed to be able to increase the Maluku economy as large as 75%.
Akses masuk-keluar penumpang perahu menjadi salah satu kendala konstruktif lemahnya kompetisi perahu dengan angkutan kota yang melalui jembatan penyeberangan Merah Putih. Bubungan atap rendah (± 1,4m di buritan, 1m di haluan) sehingga penumpang dewasa harus menunduk ±(60-80)°. Pandangan penumpang terhalang karena konstruksi atap permanen dengan najung perahu. Waktu penyeberangan lama karena setelah mendekati tempat tujuan perahu harus berbalik arah. Kendala ini diselesaikan dengan cara menerapkan kunstruksi atap yang dapat diatur, dibuka dan ditutup. Balok bubungan terbagi dua (kiri-kanan) dan berkunci. Balok kuda-kuda sisi kiri dan kanan dibagi dua dan dikoneksi dengan engsel berkunci. Saat penumpang akan naik, atap dibuka, dan bila diinginkan dibiarkan terbuka, tetapi bila ingin ditutup, maka atap dapat ditutup dan dikunci selama perjalanan. Penentuan dimensi konstruksi atap dilakukan pada softwere Ansys Workbench. Bila atap dibuka, terdapat jalan bebas sepanjang perahu dan selebar 0,80 m. Hambatan udara ditentukan terhadap luas proyeksi terbesar perahu, setelah melakukan variasi luas proyeksi perahu. Hambatan maksimum udara posisi atap tertutup adalah sebesar 2,88 Kg, saat terbuka 1,09 Kg. Dimensi penampang balok : Bubungan (5x7)cm, Kuda-kuda (5x5)cm, Najung (5x5)cm, Antar Najung (5x5)cm, skor (5x7). Kapabilitas baru perahu penyeberangan yang beratap unik ini akan memberi peluang lebih besar pada pilihan penyeberang Poka-Galala pulang pergi.
The operation of fishing vessels skipjack pole and line contributes in catching tuna and skipjack fishes particularly in Indonesian waters. A previous study conducted by the authors found that there was no suitable method provided for the resistance computation atearly ship design phase. Besides, there was aninitial trim existed on the vessel during the operation which contributes for the resistance. The purpose of the study is to find the difference of resistance between the model test and the existing methods. The study was executed also to find the effect of initial trim of the vessel. The study began with collecting the database of a parent ship then to develop and transform into a model-scale for testing purpose in the towing tank. The results of model test were converted to the full-scale vessel. The resistance of full-scale vessel was computed based on the Holtrop and Guldhammer methods. The result of full-of resistance obtained from the model test and the methods were collected, evaluated and compared. The results showed the difference of the resistance for all methods. The result of model test is greater 21 % than that of Holtrop method at the service speed of 10 knots. Meanwhile, the result of model test is lower 14 % than that of Gulhammer method at the same speed. In addition, at the speed of 10 knots the initial trim of 0.5O increase 5 % ofthe resistance, the initial trim of 1O increase 10 % of resistance and the initial trim of 2O increase 16 % of resistance compared to the vesselwithout initial trim. In conclusion, the existing resistance methods are not suitable to be applied for skipjack pole and line fishing vessels. In addition, the initial trim contributes to increase the resistance and should be avoided during the vessel operation.
