Repercussions of Social Networks on User Subjectivity: A Critical Literature Review AbstractThis article aims to map and review the literature on the repercussions of social networks on the subjectivity of its members to review whether such literature has the potential to elucidate the possible effects of the process called negotiation of identities in contemporary subjectivity of individuals. To achieve this goal, it was used the methodology of the state of the art, that checks the status of academic and scientifi c literature on the subject. Four data bases were accessed by a period of two years. The literature notes the aestheticization of the self, but interprets it as a consumer society, limiting the understanding of other interpretive possibilities as a new device for the production of meanings. Thus the conclusions reached is that although there are relevant results, the fi eld of studies on these effects has some gaps that need to be fi lled in order to advance through the prosperous virtual path.

The contribution of psychological tests in this process of psychological evaluation is fundamental. Taking the considerable consequences of the evaluation of intelligence for the persons in question into account, it seems obvious that a high quality is needed of the psychometric characteristics of the psychological instruments used in this type of evaluation. The general objective of the three manuscripts of the present dissertation was to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of frequently used intelligence tests in Brazil, as well as to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of the SON-R 6-40, a nonverbal test of intelligence which is being adapted for the Brazilian context. The data on the psychometric characteristics of frequently used intelligence tests in Brazil were obtained from the test manuals. The data related to the psychometric characteristics of the SON-R 6-40 test were based on the normatization and validation study of the SON-R 6-40 in Brazil. In general, the results suggest that the available instruments in Brazil designed for the evaluation of intelligence have characteristics that don't allow the evaluation of certain groups, for instance, illiterate people, persons with disorders within the spectrum of autism or with language disturbances. In relation to the SON-R 6-40 the results indicate that the instrument is unidimensional, has high psychometric quality and shows adequate reliability coefficients in the different age groups and satisfactory evidence of the construct and convergent validity.
EVIDENCE OF CONVERGENT AND DISCRIMINANT VALIDITY OF THE SON-R 6-40 SCORESAbstract: An adequate validation process is fundamental to ensure sound interpretations of test results. Thus, the purpose of this study was to acquire evidence of the convergent and discriminant validity of the test scores on the SON-R 6-40, a non-verbal test of intelligence of Dutch origin, for which Brazilian rulings are being prepared. The test was performed together with the WISC-IV to a sample of 120 children from 10 up to 14 years old. The correlation, corrected for attenuation, between the total scores on the SON-R 6-40 and the WISC-IV was .73. As expected, a higher correlation (r = .84) was obtained between the SON-R 6-40 and the Perceptual Organization Scale of the WISC-IV, and the lowest correlation was between SON-R 6-40 and the Processing Speed Scale (r = 0.32). The results indicate satisfactory evidence of the convergent and discriminant validity of the SON-R 6-40 scores for the age group investigated in the research sample. Keywords: intelligence tests; convergent validity; discriminant validity; SON-R 6-40; WISC-IV. Cognition in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) shows large variability. Nonverbal tests can be more suitable for cognitive assessment in this group. We investigated cognitive abilities in ASD using the SON-R 6-40 Nonverbal Intelligence Test. A total of 37 individuals with ASD (AG) aged 6-24 years participated. Cognitive assessment of the AG was done using the SON-R 6-40 and performance compared with the standardized sample which served as the control group (CG). Results showed lower subtest scores in the AG than in the CG. Approximately 84% of the AG had intellectual disability according to IQ scores. Individuals with preserved speech in the AG had higher IQ scores than patients without preserved speech. There was no relationship between intelligence and ASD symptom severity as reported by families.
