A poor patient safety culture will have an impact on increasing the incident rate or the risk of an incident. The patient safety culture is an important matter that needs to be considered by the hospital. The objectives of this research are finding out the relationship among nurse motivation, role of head nurse, and patient safety culture. This was a descriptive correlational study with cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 49 nurses. This study used chi-square test. Data were gathered by means of questionnaires about nurse motivation, role of head nurse, and patient safety culture. Results of this research describe 25 respondents (51%) had good motivation, 27 respondents (55.1%) had good role of head nurse, and 26 respondents (66.7) had good patient safety culture. The results showed that there was a relationship between nurse motivation and patient safety culture whith p value of 0.003 (p value < α 0,05) and there was a relationship between role of head nurse and patient safety culture with p value of 0.003 (p value < α 0,05). There was a relationship between nurse motivation and patient safety culture and there was a relationship between role of head nurse and patient safety culture. Nurse’s motivation needs to be improved so that the quality of health workers is better and the efforts of the head nurse in carrying out his/her role in his/her unit need to be made more affective to optimize the patient safety culture.
ABSTRAK Pendahuluan : Kinerja perawat adalah hasil kerja yang dicapai oleh seorang perawat dalam bentuk prestasi kerja, tanggung jawab, kejujuran dan ketaatan, terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja perawat salah satunya adalah masalah tidur. Masalah Tidur adalah suatu kondisi menurunnya kualitas tidur seseorang yang dapat mengakibatkan gangguan pada pola tidur yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti insomnia, sleep apnea, narkolepsi, night teror, dan restless legs syndrome (RLS). Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahui hubungan masalah tidur dengan kinerja perawat di Rumah sakit Muhammadiyah Palembang Tahun 2018. Metode Penelitian : Desain penelitian deskriptif corelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 57 perawat pelaksana. Alat pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner pertanyaan masalah tidur dan pernyataan kinerja perawat. Hasil : Masalah tidur yang bermasalah sebanyak 35 responden (61,4%) dan yang tidak bermasalah sebanyak 22 responden (38,6%) sedangkan kinerja perawat yang baik sebanyak 25 responden (43,9%) dan kurang baik sebanyak 32 responden (56,1%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan masalah tidur dengan kinerja perawat (p value 0,035). Kesimpulan : Masalah tidur sangatlah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja seorang perawat, sehingga disarankan seorang perawat perlu memenejemen waktu yang baik yang kemudian dapat menyesuaikan diri terhadap jadwal kerja dan upaya peningkatan sistem reward seperti halnya perawat yang baik diumumkan setiap bulan/tahun yang diiringi dengan pembagian bonus dan hadiah penghargaan sehingga perawat yang lain akan termotivasi. Errors that may be made by nurses associated with the action of reducing the fall risk can be minimized, one way is by supervision. The fall risk in patients if occured can cause various impacts such as injuries, disability, and even death. The objective of this research is finding out the relationship between supervision by head nurse with reduction of fall risk in in-patient room. This research was a descriptive correlational study with cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 49 nurses. This study used chi-square test. Data were gathered by means of questionnaires, supervision by head nurse, and reduction of fall risk. The result showed that there was relationship between supervision by head nurse with reduction of the fall risk with ρ value = 0,015 (ρ value α < 0,05). There was a relationship between supervision by head nurse with reduction of risk of falling. It is necessary to do a periodic evaluation in reducing the fall risk through supervision and making a standard guideline for supervision about fall risk.
Dysmenorrhea is a common complaint in young women, characterized by pain. Dysmenorrhea pain has a significant impact on womens lives, such as limitations in daily activities. Primary dysmenorrhea can be treated using yoga and self tapping. Objective: understanding effectiveness on use of mind-body practice: yoga towards changing long pain of primary dysmenorrheal. Method: Study was conducted by quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Study was conducted on November 2016 until Februari 2017 in SMK "X" and SMK "Y" Klaten. Sample of study amounted 88 respondent divided on 47 respondent on experimental group and 41 respondent as control group. The experimental group was given a yoga intervention, control group was given self tapping. Measuring tool using Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis using t-test for independent sample, Mann-Whitney test and Wilcoxon. Result: Statistically yoga and self tapping were equally effective in reducing the long pain of primary dysmenorrheal with p values of 0.000 and 0.012 respectively. Clinically yoga is more effective in reducing the long pain of primary dysmenorrhea with mean 1,49 compared with self tapping 0,46. Conclusion: Yoga intervention effective on reduction long pain of primary dysmenorrhea.
This study aims to analyze the factors that have an impact on readmission rates on the implementation of stroke discharge planning in the ICU and operating room at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang. The research method is a quantitative research with an analytical descriptive approach. The results of the study found that knowledge with a p-value of 0.026, and attitudes with a p-value of 0.004.
