Currently a large number of hand injuries occur in the Mexican population, mainly caused by accidents at work and in sports activities. To help the population have access to a brachiopalmar rehabilitation, In this work it was proposed to develop a rehabilitative prototype “dynamic hand orthosis” to address the main pathologies that affect our society (fractures, dislocations, sprains, tendonitis and sx of the carpal tunnel). The design was analyzed in a finite element for its validation, having a safety factor of 2.6 and a maximum tension of 12.84 MPa below the ABS elastic limit, Manufacturing was done using a 3D printer with the ABS filament. This orthosis has an extensor finger attachment composed of hammocks, one for each finger. Due to its universal design, it can be used for both hands only by exchanging the extension of the thumb.
The process for the production of biogas begins in the collection of organic waste, the career of Renewable Energies of the UTSOE, creates a prototype of biodigester. In order to level the ratio of organic matter and water, within the biodigestion process it is necessary to crush the organic waste, to facilitate its decomposition, once the reactor is filled, it is hermetically sealed to obtain biogas. As a complement to the biodigester prototype, a desktop application was developed to speed up the biodigester calculations, facilitating the obtaining of data referring to the approximate amounts of methane gas produced by a specific amount of organic matter with its properties. Developing: The project is developed in two phases: 1.- Investigate and characterize the organic waste generated in the UTSOE, for the filling of a biodigester, with the purpose of producing biogas from the laboratory. 2.- Develop a desktop application that streamlines and simplifies the methane gas calculation process that occurs when mixing some organic materials and their properties, and thus define whether the proposed mixture is productive or not. The results obtained represent the basis for new research on bioenergy in the area, by proposing a model that allows studies and tests, whose process is agile to have a software to perform the required calculations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
