This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) model on the mathematical communication skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using a Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample was determined using the simple random sampling technique, the experimental class was selected, namely class VII A and the control class namely class VII B. Class VII A was taught using the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) model and class VII B was taught by direct learning. The instruments used were the learning implementation sheet and the mathematical communication ability test questions. Furthermore, testing the hypothesis using the t test. The results of the research in the experimental class and the control class showed that the results of the midterm assessment (PTS) and the posttest scores of the two classes were normally distributed and had a homogeneous distribution. The results of statistical tests show that learning activities using the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) model are more effective than the direct learning model on the mathematical communication skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta.
Elephant food yam (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) is an important tuber plant that is grown in most of the tropical countries including Indonesia and is a very profitable export commodity. Soil nutrients availability is one of the most important factors that determine the production of elephant food yam plants. However, there is no single nutrient source, either from inorganic fertilizers or organic fertilizers or biological fertilizers, which is able to meet all the nutrient needs of the plants grown. Therefore, integrated nutrient management (INM) of elephant food yam plants seems to be a way out to maintain sustainable production and increase profitability. This paper reviews the results of research on various issues of INM-based production management for elephant food yam plants and analyzes the extent of research on the use of INM both in Indonesia and abroad. The benefits of integrated nutrient management are well documented for vegetable crops. However, it is still very little available for elephant food yam plants, especially in Indonesia. Integrated nutrient management (INM) is a very important technological innovation to be applied to elephant food yam cultivation. Elephant food yam is a high nutrient consumeplant, so a wise and precise combination of inorganic and organic fertilizers as well as bio-fertilizer will result in sustainable and sinergistic use of soil nutrients of elephant foot yams. Therefore, recommendations for research need for INM of elephant food yam should be carried out in order to increase the production of it in a sustainable manner.
Entrepreneurship has been proven in various researches in the world to help improve the welfare of society by creating jobs. Many universities in the world have adopted entrepreneurship in their curriculum designs in the form of entrepreneurship education. Besides, the technology fit task variable is also important in increasing student entrepreneurship intention. Therefore, research on entrepreneurship intention (EI) and the factors that influence it among students is very relevant. This study aims to fill the knowledge gap in the effect of task technology fit (TTF) and entrepreneurship education (EE) on entrepreneurship intention (EI) by using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) model. The research sample was 213 undergraduate students at one of the private universities in Yogyakarta selected by the Slovin method. Data were collected through a questionnaire shared with the student by MS Form. Regression analysis tools were used to test the research hypothesis. These results prove that H1, H3a, and H3b have a positive effect on EI with different levels of significance. Meanwhile, H2 has a negative influence on EI. This study has contributed to filling the knowledge gap that TTF and EE can be integrated into the TPB model.
