Introduction. Changes in the industry impact the stable condition of working in a company or industry and it is not something that can be guaranteed again in the future. The proof is that there are many phenomena of job transfers or even layoffs in various business sectors due to COVID-19 pandemic. Many studies have examined the importance of developing career adaptability skills to face the changing needs of the industry. However, studies that discuss the mechanism of forming career adaptability skills involving important antecedent factors such as teaching quality, social support, and career self-efficacy of polytechnic students are still limited. Therefore, this study aims at examining the effect of teaching quality, social support, and career self-efficacy factors on the career adaptability skills of polytechnic students. Materials and Methods. This study involved 265 students at a polytechnic in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The students expressed their perceptions of the quality of their internship learning, social support, and career selfefficacy – data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling by Amos 18 software. Results. This study reveals that teaching quality and social support does not have a direct effect on career adaptability skills. Meanwhile, career self-efficacy has a direct effect on the career adaptability skills of polytechnic students. Other findings, teaching quality and social support have a direct effect on the career self-efficacy of polytechnic students. Finally, career self-efficacy mediates the effect of teaching quality and social support on the career adaptability skills of polytechnic students. Discussion and Conclusion. This study provides important implications for the development of learning in vocational education so that students have a good mastery of career adaptability skills. Vocational education practitioners must design a vocational teaching model that combines vocational teaching, social support, and career self-efficacy to form mastery of career adaptability skills for pop-polytechnic students. In addition, the development of a vocational education curriculum needs to include mastery of career adaptability skills for students in vocational education, be it vocational high schools or polytechnics. In further research, it is necessary to develop a vocational learning model that aims to inculcate career adaptability skills for vocational students.
This study aims to analyze the strategic position of the Balikpapan Foodies community in the development of culinary tourism in Balikpapan and to formulate Balikpapan Foodies community strategy in developing culinary tourism in Balikpapan. The method used in this research is QSPM method (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix), which is a method to determine the priority of strategy alternative obtained from SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). The result shows that Balikpapan Foodies position is in Quadrant II (grow and build), which is community growth strategy. It means that to optimize the role of Balikpapan Foodies in the development of culinary tourism in Balikpapan required strengthening of members, institutional, and creativity of community programs in developing culinary tourism in Balikpapan. The alternative strategy for the development of culinary tourism conducted by the Balikpapan Foodies community in succession, namely: first to develop a local culinary tourism promotion program of Balikpapan (6.899). Second is to educate business actors in the promotion and development of culinary products (6.790). The third to established cooperation with culinary business actors and local tourism agencies in making culinary tourism event in Balikpapan (6.632). The fourth to development of Balikpapan Foodies blog (6.438). The fifth to compile and run the Balikpapan Foodies organizational function (5.865). Finally, the sixth to institutional strengthening of Balikpapan Foodies with regular member program (5.567).
This study aims at finding: the work readiness of the students of private vocational high schools in Bantul Regency and the effect of job training program, implementation of vocational guidance, and the family support both individually and together on the work readiness of the students of private vocational high schools in Bantul Regency. This study was ex-post facto research using the quantitative approach. The subject was the students of private vocational high schools in Bantul Regency. A sample of 256 students was established by using the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire in Likert Scale of 4 options. The questionnaire was tested for its validity and reliability before it was used to gather the data. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistic and double regression by using three independent variables and one dependent variable.This research showes five findings. First, the work readiness of the students of privat vocational high schools in Bantul Regency is in a low category (61%). Second, the job training program has asignificant effect on the students'work readiness. Third, the implementation of vocational guidance does not have a significant effect on the students' work readiness. Fourth family support does not have a significant effect on the students' work readiness. Fifth, the job training program, vocational guidance, and family support simultaneously contribute only 28.7% to the work readiness of students of private vocational high schools in at Bantul Regency.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi industri perhotelan di Kota Balikpapan terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa Program Studi Tata Boga Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan yang akan menghadapi dunia kerja nantinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode statistik deskriptif sederhana. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden sebanyak 5 hotel yang digunakan mahasiswa Praktek Kerja Lapangan. Berdasarkan analisis data yang diperoleh ditinjau dari enam variabel untuk mengetahui kesiapan kerja mahasiswa yaitu: persepsi industri perhotelan menyatakan mahasiswa memiliki kesiapan kerja dilihat dari kemampuan mahasiswa berkomunikasi, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam bekerjasama, kemampuan mahasiswa bekerja mandiri, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berkreatifitas, kemampuan dasar boga mahasiswa dan kemampuan berpenampilan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bahan masukan dalam pengembangan Program Studi Tata Boga.
Batik artwork has been known for hundreds of years and has become part of the culture of Indonesian society. Some batik motifs in Indonesia have philosophical values and are part of traditional traditional ceremony activities. Along with the times, the creativity of batik artists has become varied even though ancient traditional motifs are still mass produced and used as inspiration. This research examines the legal protection for traditional batik in order to avoid the abuse of rights by certain parties who merely exploit it in order to benefit from the existence of traditional batik works. The formulation of the problem that will be examined in this research is whether traditional batik gets legal protection under the copyright regime in Indonesia? Are there any legal safeguards at the international level for traditional Indonesian batik works? In answering this problem formulation will use a conceptual approach and a statutory approach. This research is a legal research that will examine existing legal concepts and related legal rules in solving legal problems related to the protection of traditional batik.
