This study investigates the application of the technology acceptance model (TAM) on the digital payment using social media platforms with the extended inclusion of perceived ease of use, perceived security, perceived usefulness, and trust in enhancing consumer behavioral intention. This work has surveyed 250 consumer films on the digital social media platform. Data collection used a questionnaire designed with a five-point Likert scale. The questionnaire was created using a Google Form, and questionnaire distribution was performed by sending the link through social media to the respondents. As many as 300 questionnaires were distributed, and 258 questionnaires were considered valid for further analysis. Data analysis used smartPLS software version 3.0. The result revealed that nine hypotheses were empirically supported while the others two were not supported. Perceived security directly affects trust and consumer behavioral intention. Perceived ease of use directly affects perceived usefulness and consumer behavioral intention. Perceived security indirectly influences consumer behavioral intention through trust and perceived usefulness. Furthermore, perceived usefulness directly affects trust and consumer behavioral intention. Besides, trust directly affects consumer behavioral intentions. Perceived ease of use indirectly affects behavioral intention through perceived usefulness. Moreover, perceived security affects consumer behavioral intentions indirectly through trust. Perceived ease of use influences perceived usefulness. However, perceived usefulness did not indirectly influence behavioral intention through trust. Finally, perceived ease of use did not affect consumer behavioral intention through perceived usefulness and trust. These findings extended the application of the technology acceptance model in using digital payment platforms in Indonesia. These findings reinforced current research on user adoption of new technology. Furthermore, this result provides a managerial implication for digital payment platforms providers to improve consumer behavioral intentions.
Pandemic Covid-19 has resulted in disruption in various industry and business sectors. People spend more time at home than they do outside. People who like movies during this time can enjoy the cinema. However, during the covid-19 pandemic, it must be done online to follow strictly regulated restrictions on community activities to avoid the uncontrolled spread of the virus. As a result, streaming platforms with the advancement of internet technology are increasingly playing a role in providing online services for movie fans. This study investigated the effects of perceived ease of use, usefulness, enjoyment, and intention to use online platforms on behavioral intention in online movies during the Covid 19 pandemic. The questionnaires were distributed by sending google form links to respondents who have a streaming platform subscription in Indonesia. As many as 772 questionnaires were filled out completely and could be processed. Data analysis was done by using partial least squares with Smart PLS software. The results have shown that eight proposed hypotheses have been supported in this study. Perceived ease of use positively affects the perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and intention to watch movies online. Furthermore, perceived usefulness affects perceived enjoyment and intention to watch movies online. Perceived enjoyment influences intention to use and behavioral intention. Finally, intention to use online platforms influences behavioral intention. This research contributes in theory to the technology acceptance model and provides film industry practitioners with insight into enhancing customer behavioral intention in the pandemic era.
When modernism started to become the major paradigm in the western world, western theatre also took part in the development. Realism, a child of modernism, soon became the mainstream of the theatrical expression. As soon as realism became established in the first-half of the 20 th century, antirealist movements flourished as reactions to the establishment. These movements were so diverse that it ranged from movements which were purely artistic such as what was done by Edward Gordon Craig until those that were political like what was proposed by Bertolt Brecht (1992).
The teaching-learning techniques of BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing - Indonesian for Speakers of Other Languages) for language skills are oftentimes separated from that of ‘cultural’ skills. Even worse, BIPA teachers tend to devote only a little attention to students’ cultural sensitivity. Dramatic Theatre, when used appropriately, offers engaging techniques for the teaching-learning of both language and cultural skills. Dramatic theatre’s ‘production process’ is very useful in developing linguistic and cultural sensitivities to the students. The teaching-learning of BIPA using the Dramatic Theatre production process at Petra Christian University, Surabaya, Indonesia has shown that it is a promising teachnique to be developed and implemented. The students’ involvement in the process from the preparations, rehearsals, and finally performance gives them a chance to enjoy and, especially, learn the Indonesian linguistic as well as cultural nuances more or less authentically. This paper is an evaluation of BIPA through dramatic theatre at PCU. It will show how students are involved in the production process, learn Bahasa Indonesia, and grasp Indonesian culture both from the play they perform and the process of production itself. It finally gives evaluation and recomendation for further use of dramatic theatre for BIPA at PCU.
