This paper presents the design, measurement methodology and results of a dipole antenna for a RFID tag compliant to EPC Global Gen2. The impedance of the proposed antenna is match at 915 MHz. The meander-line tag antenna dimensions were optimized and evaluated using the software CST Microwave Studio. S parameters of the fabricated antenna were measured using a two-port VNA. The impedance was computed and comparisons with the simulated values were done. It was observed that erroneous material specifications can cause a significant variation in the impedance results.
A compact monopole planar integrated antenna, with low profile, low cost and small size is proposed for Bluetooth and Ultrawideband (UWB) applications. Theoretical analyses were carried out using the commercial electromagnetic simulator software HFSS™. The antenna covers the operation frequencies, at least, from 2.352 GHz to 11 GHz and is designed on FR4 substrate.I.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
