RESUMOO presente estudo visa a uma revisão da literatura a respeito da violência psicológica contra a mulher e transtorno de estresse pós-traumático (TEPT), tendo em vista que este afeta a vida funcional das mulheres vitimas de violência, bem como estratégias terapêuticas utilizadas em Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental (TCC), no tratamento do TEPT. Dessa forma, foi realizada uma busca por artigos que descrevem protocolos para tratamento e particularidades de mulheres que sofrem violência. Os estudos de revisão fortalecem a associação entre mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica e TEPT, bem como a necessidade de tratamento especializado. Thus, we performed a search for articles that describe protocols for treatment and particularities of women who suffer violence. Review studies strengthen the association between women victims of domestic violence and PTSD, as well as the need for specialized treatment.
