<p class="Default"><em>Diesel Motor is a type of piston combustion motor commonly called Ignition Compression Engine Combustion Engine. The use of coconut fiber chopper machines using diesel drive engines in the market has not been able to increase consumer comfort and efficiency. Because of this issue that emits CO2 and NOx also causes air pollution and noise emissions, it tends to be relatively large and also requires intensive care that requires a lot of space and costs. This will renew the surrounding environment and allow user comfort and efficiency when running the machine. Therefore, it is necessary to have an efficient and optimal coconut fiber chopping machine by reducing noise so that it is not noisy and pollution-free. The coconut fiber enumerator with an electric motor drive is an enumerator of coconut fibers with an electric motor as a solution for making household products and agricultural fertilizers to increase comfort and efficiency for consumers so as to increase economic value in the community. This research method begins with making a tool consisting of a study of literature, measuring each component of the tool consisting of a frame, eye drive, motor drive, filter and pulley and designing the design model. Trial on a no-load blade shaft rotation of 450 rpm. At the time of enumeration, the shaft rotation is reduced to around 350-400 rpm and the linear velocity of the V-Belt is 3.9 m / s. From the coconut fiber chopper with an electric motor drive it causes low vibration, does not cause pollution nor is it efficient.</em></p>
Corn is one of the main agricultural plant commodities in Gunung Kidul regency especially Saptosari village because this area has high result potential and production of corn. That high potential is in line with its high waste produced such as its leaves, stalks, cobs, and husks. To date, the leaves and stalks are corn wastes that have been used as fresh cattle feed, while the cobs are only thrown away or burnt. In fact, all corn wastes can be used as dry cattle feed that can be stored. The potential to process corn waste is important by noting the number of cattle in Saptosari village and Gunung Kidul regency in general to meet the high demand of cattle feed. This type of cattle feed is very needed in dry season due to the shortage of fresh cattle feed. As a result, there is a need to have a society empowerment activity in Saptosari village especially in Tukuk hamlet aimed at developing the society's skills to process corn waste into cattle feed. The method of empowerment activity was done in stages that include socialization, training, and waste processing practicum. The success of society empowerment activity that was implemented is shown by the increasing knowledge and skills of the society in processing the corn waste into cattle feed. The most significant finding is that the society is very enthusiastic in processing the corn waste into cattle feed shown by self-procurement of corn waste crusher machine.
Blade design and material selection for savonius turbines need to accurate to produce high power input. This research aims to make the most robust blade material by vacuum infusion manufactured. The hybrid laminate composite applied in the manufacture of Savonius turbine blades consists of woven carbon fiber with chopped strand mat glass fiber and woven glass fiber. The variations of fiber composition comprised of five layers, namely 5An (5 layers of woven glass fiber), 5Ac (5 layers of chopped strand mat glass fiber), 2C-3An (2 woven carbon fiber-3 woven glass), and 2C-3Ac (2 woven carbon fiber-3 chopped strand mat glass fiber). The results showed 2C-3An for the best variation of hybrid laminate composite with the tensile strength of 219 MPa, with the modulus of elasticity of 6.8 GPa and the smallest density was 1.21 g/cm 3 .
There are about 87% of motorcycles used by motorists on the streets are automatic type motorcycles which are dominated by Honda Beat. Seeing the interest of the world community about their interest in automatic motorcycles, it is necessary to conduct research to analyze the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) system on this motorcycle. The method used in this research is the troubleshooting analysis method. Troubleshooting is a method for observing symptoms, diagnosing damage, conducting inspections and measurements, identifying damage based on the results of inspections and measurements, and determining corrective steps if repairs must be made. The results of this study are recommendations for troubleshooting steps on the Honda Beat CVT system. With this troubleshooting step, technicians have a reference to carry out maintenance and repair of Honda Beat automatic motorcycles, especially on the CVT system. Terdapat sekitar 87% sepeda motor yang digunakan pengendara dijalanan adalah sepeda motor tipe matic yang didominasi oleh Honda Beat. Melihat animo masyarakat dunia tentang minat mereka terhadap sepeda motor matic maka perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis sistem CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) pada sepeda motor ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis troubleshooting. Troubleshooting adalah metode untuk mengamati gejala, mendiagnosis adanya kerusakan, melakukan pemeriksaan dan pengukuran, mengidentifikasi kerusakan berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan dan pengukuran, serta menentukan langkah perbaikan jika harus dilakukan perbaikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi langkah troubleshooting pada sistem CVT Honda Beat. Dengan Langkah troubleshooting ini para teknisi memiliki acuan untuk melaksanakan perawatan dan perbaikan sepeda motor matic Honda Beat khususnya pada sistem CVT.
Indonesia is a country prone to natural disasters, one of the most frequent natural disasters is flooding. when there is a flood in an area, it is necessary to measure the depth of the flood, this serves to reduce the occurrence of accidents when a flood occurs. To reduce this risk, a vessel that measures flood depths is designed using a catamaran hull, then the design results will be simulated using the software. Design and numerical simulation in this study using Maxsurf software. The trial and error method is used to determine the size of the ship. By using Maxsurf software, several parameters can be known including resistance, power, and displacement. In the calculation of the resistance in this study using the Holtrop method, the ship's speed has variations with speed (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5). The design of the ship with a displacement of 1,665 kg, obtained the main size of the ship Length: 60 cm; Breadth: 30 cm; Depth:15 cm; Draft: 6 cm. Based on the results of the numerical simulation, the resistance with a speed of 0.5 m/s gets 0.46 N, 1 m/s gets 1.6 N, 1.5 m/s gets 3.18 N, 2 m/s gets 4.92 N, and 2.5 m/s get 6.89 N From the results obtained the graph will form a linear trend. Thus the speed of the ship will affect the resulting resistance. The higher the speed of the ship, the greater the resulting resistance.
