Rapid internet user growth in Indonesia cause the increasing use of Internet Protocol (IP). This IP address used by internet operator to expand their service. Currently, internet network in Indonesia mostly use Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) as the primary address. However, in fact that IPv4 address allocation is limited. This is due to IPv4 only support up-to 2 32 addressing. Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) note that April 2011 is the last allocated address that they distributed. To avoid this, a migration to IPv6 should overcome. Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Indonesia internet stakeholder, declare Indonesia IPv6 Task Force (ID-IPv6TF) to boost the IPv6 migration. This study found that IPv6 implementation in Indonesia is in mid-up category compare to country that use IPv6 in the world. However, this study also found that the growth is sporadic with less coordination and minimum socialization to the user.
