A phenomenon that is often seen is that children really like to play and watch videos via cellphones. However, Tiktok and similar applications are not educational special applications, there are many videos that are displayed without any filters. So that it can cause the possibility of videos that children watch are videos that are not good and not suitable for children to watch. Therefore, it is necessary to understand and tricks for utilizing application algorithms so that learning strategies can run well. This article aims to provide knowledge and knowledge about how to use short video platform applications such as Tiktok, Instagram Reels, Youtube Shorts to improve children's language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) through the utilization of these application algorithms. This research uses a qualitative approach with the Empathy Map method on five mothers who have children under five years old and content analysis on the application to find out the right strategy in utilizing the application algorithm. The results of this study contain: 1) the results of the empathy map analysis, 2) the results of the application algorithm analysis, 3) understanding the application algorithm, 4) strategies for utilizing the application algorithm, and 5) building relevant application accounts to improve children's language skills.
