This research is motivated by the implementation of conventional learning. Besides, student learning motivation is still low due to student activities that are less centered on making workpieces that are suitable for work in the industry. Learning outcomes show that only 55.88% of students reach Minimum Completeness Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan minimum or KKM). The design and learning of productive machining competencies that are in accordance with the needs of the industry influence students' experience and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the results of industrial project-based learning (InPro-BL) milling machine competency learning outcomes in SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. The method used in this study is Class Action Research (CAR) through four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and evaluation, (4) reflection. The samples were 34 students of class XII of Mechanical Engineering. The data were collected using product assessment instruments to measure dimensional accuracy, timeliness, level of disability, level of smoothness, and work attitude. This study was descriptive quantitative, and qualitative. The results of the study show that InPro-BL is effective in improving the learning outcomes of milling machine competencies. In Cycle I, there is an increase in learning outcomes, from 19 students who completed the KKM to 25 students or 73.52%. In Cycle II, there are 88.23% of students passed the KKM. These results can be improved by paying attention to the management of learning time through the block system, teacher's understanding of industrial-project-based learning, and industry guest teachers mentoring every learning process.
The rotor is one of the vital components of a wind turbine. In the design of the rotor, the expected result is the most optimal power. This purpose study is to optimization of the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine power of various parameters such as airfoil, angle of attack, and pitch angle. Airfoils (NACA 4412-2412 T.E. mod, NACA 2412-4412 T.E. mod, NACA 4412-2412 L.E. mod, NACA 2412-4412 L.E. mod), angle of attack (0, 2, 4, 6), and pitch angle (0, 1, 2, 3) are the parameter variations used. The simulation method uses BEM (Blade Element Momentum), and the Taguchi for optimization is based on the L16 orthogonal array matrix. The ANOVA has to determine the contribution of each parameter to the HAWT power generated. Simulation and optimization results show that the most optimal parameter was a NACA airfoil 4412-2412 L.E mod, at 0˚ angle of attack and 0˚ pitch angle, with the resulting power reaching 1015780 Watt. The ANOVA analysis shows the airfoil parameter has the greatest contribution to the rotor power of the HAWT compared to the angle of attack and pitch angle.
Culture is an important part of English language teaching and learning. Students must be exposed to the culture related to the communication skills being taught. Textbook can be a medium for the teachers to present different kinds of culture along with the language content. Therefore, it is essential for an English textbook to properly include cultural contents. This study aims to investigate the target culture included in a junior high school English textbook used by many teachers in Indonesia. Qualitative descriptive design was employed in order to describe the target culture in the textbook without any manipulation to the data. Moran’s (2001) five dimensions of culture that include products, practices, perspectives, communities, and persons was used to analyze the data. The results found 61 items in the textbook that contained references to the target culture. The ways those target culture were presented were not vary. Almost all of those items were presented in words or passages.
Nowadays we are still in the virus covid 19 pandemic situation. The pandemic condition forces the learning process to be carried out online to reduce the spread of this virus. One of the other efforts used is hybrid learning. One of the robot technologies that can support lectures work in hybrid learning is a teaching assistant robot. This technology can be used to help lecturers or teachers carry out their duties properly. This study aims to develop robotic technology for blended learning. The developed robot has a function to help hybrid learning where the robot is equipped with a camera, microphone, microcontroller, and electric motor. This robot has the advantage of using a wireless connection, it can move to display the material presented by the lecturer so that hybrid learning is optimized.
Students with disabilities have the same rights as normal students in accessing the inclusive vocational high school webs. This study aims to analyze the web accessibility of inclusive vocational high schools for students with disabilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Website accessibility was analyzed using Taw, Wave, and Achecker. There are 42 inclusive vocational high school websites that will be the source of data. The results of the analysis of the 3 tools were then compared and described. Web accessibility of Indonesia inclusive vocational high schools using TAW, the most problems that arise are operable aspects, when using ACheker the most problems that arise are non-text content, and when using wave the most common problem is error contrast.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
