As usual theology students at the beginning of the semester fill out a study plan card (KRS). To fill out the KRS, students take one of the courses in the study of the interpretation of Paul's letters, so this paper focuses on the significance of the study of the interpretation of Paul's letters and their implications for theology students. The purpose of this paper is to know the importance of the study of commentary and its implications for students in terms of knowing the principles related to several things in Bible interpretation, historical analysis, geographical analysis, context analysis, literary analysis and grammatical and grammatical analysis as well as theological analysis. To be able to find out, the researcher used descriptive qualitative methods with a literature review approach, literature, published journals related to the subject matter by analyzing qualitative data from the commentaries on Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians. Based on this research, a finding is found which shows that the study of the interpretation of Paul's letters and their implications for students is very necessary to know the history, geography, politics and economics, context, literature, grammatical, grammatical and theological theological writers and recipients so that in interpreting appropriate purpose and remain relevant for today's listeners.Abstrak: Seperti lazimnya mahasiswa teologi diawal semester mengisi Kartu Rencana Studi (KRS). Untuk mengisi KRS mahasiswa mengambil salah satu mata kuliah studi tafsir surat-surat Paulus, maka tulisan ini berfokus pada studi tafsir surat-surat Paulus dan implikasinya bagi mahasiswa teologi. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah mengetahui pentingnya studi tafsir dan implikasinya bagi mahasiswa dalam pengertian mengetahui prinsip-prinsip yang berkaitan dengan beberapa hal dalam penafsiran Alkitab, analisa historis, analisa geografis, analisa konteks, analisa sastra dan analisa gramatikal dan tata bahasa serta analisa teologis. Untuk dapat mengetahui hal tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kajian, kepustakaan, jurnal terpublikasi yang berkaitan pokok bahasan dengan menganalisis data-data kualitatif dari buku-buku tafsir Galatia, Efesus, Filipi, Kolose, 1 dan 2 Tesalonika. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, maka ditemukan sebuah temuan yang menunjukkan bahwa studi tafsir surat-surat Paulus dan implikasinya bagi mahasiswa sangat diperlukan untuk mengetahui historis, geografi, politik dan ekonomi, konteks, sastra, gramatikal, tata bahasa serta teologis penulis dan penerima perdana sehingga dalam menafsir sesuai maksud yang tepat dan tetap relevan bagi pendengar masa kini.
