As a result of this meeting the following letter was sent to the principal medical periodicals: "We would draw the attention of the profession to a meeting to be held at 1 Wimpole St., London, on Friday, June 9, at 2.30 p.m., when it will be proposed that a Medical Society for the Study of Venereal Diseases be formed. The number of those specially engaged on work in connexion with venereal diseases is ever increasing, and it is believed that the institution of a society for the study of the subject would supply a widely-felt need. Local divisions of the society will be formed, and meetings will be held at which subjects of 3
