Studies have shown excessive teaching workloads of teachers and lecturers have become a contentious issue in the academic realm, making them physically and emotionally strained. Therefore, this study was carried out to develop a workload distribution management system called e-WLOAD to help the management of universities in distributing workloads that are fair and acceptable to all lecturers. In this study, the researchers used the Evolutionary Prototyping method for the development of e-WLOAD. A series of interviews involving a head of a department, a faculty dean and an academic registrar as well as the analysis of the Academic Workload Guidance Document of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the academic Annual Performance Assessment Report were carried out to reveal the relevant criteria for the distribution of lecturers’ workloads, namely Status, Minimum and maximum credits, Lecturer classification, Current Teaching Status, and Teaching Load Requirements. After running the system, the results of the functionality test indicated that the prototype had fulfilled all system requirements successfully based on such distribution criteria. Keywords: Evolutionary Prototyping, Lecturers’ teaching workloads, Workload distribution criteria, Workload distribution system
The current pandemic COVID-19 and lockdown have worsened patients' health, especially those who suffer from an anxiety disorder. However, anxiety disorders are treatable by undergoing different therapies treatment. This paper aims to develop an Anxiety Assistant Mobile Apps Chatbot (ANUVA) for university students using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Structured activities are used to motivate the user to question their thought distortions and change them back. The ANUVA chatbot is developed using Evolutionary Prototyping Model. The effectiveness of the ANUVA chatbot was tested using Confusion Matrix. The result indicates that the accuracy of the ANUVA chatbot is 75%, precision 85% and recall 88%. The System Usability Scale (SUS) test was used to measure the usability, and the score shows 86.75 for the result. For future work, all the chat records will link with the counselling unit system to enhance the efficiency of the therapies.
Pendidikan Sultan Idris, 35900Tanjong Malim, Perak, MalaysiaPublished online: ABSTRACTThe identification of proper nouns from text aims to classify named entities according to their respective groupings, an aspect included in Named Entity Recognition (NER). Proper noun disambiguation can adversely affect morphological analysis, a vital trai availability via classification and new word assimilation. The occurrences of proper nouns can be annotated from the text resources using separate entity mapping from their fragments. research was carried out to examine the impa sequence that queried and acquired proper nouns from a collection of unannotated Malay language news articles that envisions several techniques to improve text accuracy such as pre-processing and data clustering. The results showed that the F the output tested on the unannotated news dataset were between 30% and 60%.
This paper aims to discuss step-by-step activities of the implementation of Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) in the development of Personalization teaching and learning materials for children. DSRM is adapted in the development of personalized teaching and learning materials due to its potential to provide specific guidelines based on specific outcomes. This paper revealed the potential of DSRM as a reliable and comprehensive methodology that leads the developer on step by step processes to perform the development. Apart from that this study provides details description on the development of personalized teaching and learning materials that is successfully developed using the DSRM methodology as guidelines.
