The swarm earthquake that occurred in West Halmahera which recorded a lot resulted in damage to houses in several rural areas. Although human casualties are not too significant, they affect the stability and capacity of an area in terms of regional development. Mapping of seismic hazard zone is a solution to minimize the impact that will be caused by the earthquake. The purpose of the study is to initial mapping seismic hazard zoning based on Horizontal Vertical to Spectral Ratio (HVSR) analysis. The estimated values of the fundamental frequency range from 0.0 Hz up to 4.9 Hz increases with decreasing depths of basement rock. Regions with the lowest dominant frequency value are South Ibu sub-District, this shows that the area has a large sediment thickness and is a vulnerable area of high. Amplification value range of 4.7 – 51, where the higher the amplification value, the thickness of sediments. The highest amplification value area is Jailolo sub-District and is an area that has a high risk of damage if shaken by an earthquake. This shows that areas that have high amplification values are areas that have the greatest potential for damage due to earthquakes. Analysis obtained from the results of the data shows that the topographic influence is also very significant with the earthquake waves that occur.
School yard is the most appropriate learning media to support learning creativity for learners. The narrow use of school yard has not been well implemented, so that the students' ignorance towards the environment is closely related to the decreasing environmental quality in schools. To improve the quality of education and learning achievement of learners about environmental knowledge, school can provide a direct understanding to learners about the environment by applying the concept of vertical garden in the yard of the school. Vertical concept of this garden becomes an alternative way in getting around the yard or narrow land. The school plays an important role in this devotion program at the time of making the garden vertical garden, where the school proposes the implementation of maintenance activities and planting new plant species in the annual plan of SDN 34 Kota Ternate. Socialization and workshops that have been done with the school together with community service team, it can provide an early description of the use of a narrow school yard by applying the garden vertical garden. Another target of this program is that students and teachers feel the benefits of this school park in classroom learning, so that they can apply the concept of farming obtained for the home.
Penelitian geofisika dengan menggunakan metode magnetik yaitu dengan alat Magnetometer <em>Fluxgate</em>. Luas daerah penyelidikan ± 1 km x 1 km, dibatasi oleh koordinat geografis antara 127° 27’ 42” s/d 127° 27’ 43” BT dan 0° 43’ 17” s/d 0° 43’ 19” LU . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui posisi sumber prospek panas bumi di daerah Akesahu, Pulau Tidore berdasarkan data anomali medan magnet. Data medan magnet total yang terukur adalah medan utama, medan luar dan medan anomali. Untuk menghilangkan efek-efek anomali dari medan magnet luar dan anomali medan magnet utama dilakukan perhitungan koreksi variasi harian, koreksi <em>drift</em> (kesalahan alat), koreksi penyesuaian, koreksi IGRF, dan pemisahan anomali residual dan regional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, daerah Akesahu, Pulau Tidore memiliki potensi panas bumi yang masih cukup besar yang ditandai dengan adanya manifestasi panas bumi berupa mata air panas. Anomali medan magnet daerah Akesahu ditunjukkan dengan adanya anomali yang rendah (0.90 sampai dengan -2163.09 nT) yang memanjang arah utara-selatan di bagian Timur Pulau Tidore. Disamping itu di sekitar mata air panas Akesahu secara geologis didukung dengan adanya empat buah sesar normal. Ini sebagai sistem pengontrol panas bumi yang lainnya di Pulau Tidore.
