This two-part study with working adults examines which communication behaviors occur at work and how these communication behaviors are evaluated. Through an analysis of organizational communication publications (articles, organizational case studies, textbooks), the authors identified 343 communication behaviors; sorting analysis reduced this list to 163 verbal communication behaviors used in the workplace. In Study 1, using an online survey, 126 working adults identified which of these communication behaviors had been heard or observed the previous day in the workplace. Forty-four communication behaviors were identified by 50% or more of the participants, indicating their frequent use in the workplace. In Study 2, 331 working adults evaluated their effectiveness on the 44 verbal communication behaviors. Factor analysis reduced that list to 36 verbal workplace communication behaviors composed of four factors: information sharing, relational maintenance, expressing negative emotion, and organizing communication behaviors. The Workplace Communication Behavior Inventory is presented.

Based on the data from the nationwide surveys of SMEs in "China's Private Economic Research in 2002, this paper examines gender differences among Chinese entrepreneurs seeking financing pattern, including external and internal financing, and studies on the factors those affect women entrepreneurs’ financing strategies through theoretical analysis and model validation from the human capital and social capital perspective. We find that human capital and social capital have positive influence on seeking external financing. There is also some evidence that the impact in Administrative system may promote external financing in China.

Two China-based geographers examine the gradual relaxation of restrictions on the activity of foreign banks in China as a prelude to a more focused investigation of the concentrated locational pattern of foreign banking in that country. The study, which embraces 32 Chinese cities, emphasizes the factors that have attracted foreign banks to particular cities and regions of China, including the existence of special banking opportunities, the so-called "follow-the customer" strategy, externalities associated with major financial centers such as Beijing and Shanghai, relaxed banking regimes in particular urban centers and special economic zones, and exposure to international trade and to a variety of foreign business enterprises. The locational preferences of foreign banks in relation to their countries of origin are addressed in some detail.
In the model predictive control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), predictive flux control (PFC) has been widely studied because it does not need the complicated setting of weight factor. In predictive flux control, the prediction of stator flux vector is usually based on the voltage model. However, the mismatched resistance parameter and current sampling errors will lead to stator flux prediction errors, resulting in the degradation of control performance and even the system instability. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a compensated stator flux predictor based-predictive flux control (CSFP-PFC) of permanent magnet synchronous motor. In the proposed method, stator flux vector is firstly expressed at the rotor reference frame. Then, a compensated stator flux predictor is firstly constructed based on stator current prediction error. The accurate prediction of stator flux vector will ensure the selection of optimal voltage vector. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
