This study aimed at assessing the cognitive determinants of the BSIT students during the second semester of the academic year 2019-2020. A total of three hundred ninety-four (394) respondents participated in this study to understand the relationship of the cognitive determinants to their academic performance in a major programming course. Results revealed that the number of male students was more significant than the number of female students, there was a small gap between the number of students who graduated from public and private secondary academic institutions, and technical-vocational strand and academic strand were the two senior high school strand that the IT students had taken. In terms of the cognitive determinants, academic competence were very evident to the students with mean ratings of 3.826. However, test competence, time management and strategic study habits need to be improved based on the mean ratings of 3.208, 3.115 and 3.414, respectively. In assessing the relationship between the variables, the academic performance has a significant relationship with cognitive determinants (r = 0.443, p < 0.05). This study suggests that teachers must incessantly create more meaningful learning experiences to continuously improve academic performance and explore new ways to improve the teaching and learning process. In humans' daily life, people experience different levels of anxiety. Some experiences a low level of anxiety, others experience incredibly high. Anxiety significantly affects people in different forms. Higher education students experience anxiety attributed to different factors and one of which includes test anxiety. This study sought to describe the test anxiety among the Information Technology (IT) students and assess if test anxiety has a significant relationship to students' academic performance. The researchers applied a descriptive-correlational design to describe the IT students' test anxiety and test the relationship of the variables under investigation. The researchers adopted an instrument for this study. This study was conducted in a State University in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. A total of 394 students enrolled in an IT Major Course during the second semester of the academic year 2019-2020 voluntarily participated as respondents for this study. Results revealed that IT students have "somewhat typically" experienced test anxiety (WM = 2.734). Moreover, results showed that test anxiety among IT students has a significant positive relationship to their academic performance (p-value = 0.000, r = 0.347). Researchers suggest utilizing the positive effect of test anxiety in learning IT courses in order for students to improve their academic performance continuously. This study aimed to assess the office productivity tool proficiency among on-the-job trainees in a public higher education institution in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Descriptive research was utilized and a self-made instrument developed. It was properly reviewed and revised to ensure valid and reliable results. Findings showed a disparity in the number of male and female respondents, with Web Systems Technology being the majority specialization and smartphones being the most commonly used gadget. Although the majority of the respondents had no formal office productivity tools training, they exhibited intermediate proficiency levels in document processing, spreadsheet, presentation, publication, collaboration, and online digital content creation applications. Notably, only a few respondents had advanced skills. A skills training template was designed as a result of the study, and recommendations were provided for future academic endeavors.
