Background: Activation of TAK1 is a key event in inflammation. Results: Different cytokines cause TRAF6-dependent polyubiquitination at Lys-34 of TAK1 and activation of the TAK1-NF-B pathway. Conclusion: Interestingly, this event is common for several different pathways. Significance: The knowledge of how activation of the TAK1-NF-B pathway occurs might aid to create novel drugs to combat inflammation and cancer.
Conventional noise attenuation methods involve transforming noisy data into a filter domain where noise and signal can be separated. Deleting the noise components and transforming back the data into original domain, the filtered data is achieved. Coefficients representing the noise in the filter domain are selected by thresholding or manually which can result in a time-consuming process and also introduce error to what should be considered as noise energy. In this study, a model is developed using Deep Neural Network with AutoEncoder architecture to select the noise energy automatically in the Frequency-Wavenumber domain. The objective is to train a model that can attenuate coherent noise with certain isolated frequencies and varying amplitudes while preserving all reflections (weak and strong). The network is only trained on synthetic data; but its performance is evaluated on real high frequency marine data. The synthetic data have very simple structure of high frequency reflections contaminated with sinusoidal noise; outstanding performance of the proposed method on real data, however, shows the exceptional capability of the Deep Neural Network based filters.
There have been lots of efforts to study the geological characteristics and structure of the Malaysian Basin. Faults and fractures are of great importance due to the role they can play affecting different phases of a hydrocarbon prospect life from exploration through production and even abandonment. Carbonate build-ups are another type of significant geological anomalies in the area; because they are proved to be promising prospects. Application of seismic attributes on three dimensional seismic data has been proved to be useful in the study of such features. Each attribute is based on certain property of the seismic data which itself is the result of relevant geological phenomena. In this paper, different seismic attributes that can emphasize on the aforementioned geological anomalies are used in Malaysian Basin. Based on the results and their comparison, it is seen that combination of the results of different attributes can provide a much more convenient outcome.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
