This study aimed to evaluate the management of toxic hazardous materials (THM) in PT. X. The research method uses a comparison technique between the implementation of THM management with the applicable regulations, namely Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation No. 101/2014 concerning management of THM, Minister of Environment Regulation No. 14/2013 concerning the symbol and label of THM, environmental control agency decision No 1/1995 concerning the storage and collection of THM, and environmental control agency decision 2/1995 concerning THM documents. Based on the research PT X has carried out the management of THM in each production unit that produces THM. The types of THM were produced those are ink sludge, WWTP sludge, fly ash, bottom ash, used chemical packaging, ink cans, electronic waste, mercury lamps, toner, filters, and used refrigerants. The characteristics of THM are toxic, corrosive, highly flammable, and infectious. The biggest amount of THM produced in the WWTP sludge. The company has reused WWTP sludge so that it can reduce the amount of sludge produced by 99.83%. The THM management system at PT X follows the work instruction that has been based on applicable regulations. PT X conducts THM management very well.
Sungai Cisangkan merupakan sungai yang mengalir di Kota Cimahi yang menerima limbah domestik, industri, dan pertanian yang berasal dari daerah aliran sungai. Perkembangan industri dan pemukiman di sepanjang aliran sungai menyebabkan kualitas air sungai menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas air Sungai Cisangkan berdasarkan baku mutu menurut PP Nomor 82/2001 kelas 2. Analisis kualitas air dilakukan di 3 titik mewakili bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir sungai. Data dikumpulkan pada 3 periode pengambilan yaitu Bulan April, September, dan Desember 2019. Parameter yang diukur dan diamati sebanyak 32 parameter yang terdiri dari parameter fisika, kimia, dan mikrobiologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat 16 parameter yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu terdiri dari 2 parameter fisika, 14 kimia, dan 2 mikrobiologi. Berdasarkan parameter yang tidak memenuhi bakumutu sumber pencemar dominan diprediksi berasal dari aktivitas pemukiman karena nilai BOD5, COD, TSS, minyak dan lemak, detergen MBAS, Total Coliform serta fecal Coliform tidak memenuhi baku mutu di seluruh titik sampling pada 3 kali pengukuran. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan sebagai data dasar pengelolaan limbah cair domestik di DAS Cisangkan Kota Cimahi. Kata kunci: Cimahi, Cisangkan, domestik, kualitas air. The Cisangkan River is a river that flows in Cimahi City which receives domestic, industrial and agricultural waste originating from the watershed. Industrial and residential developments along the river have caused the quality of river water to decline. This study aims to analyze the quality of Cisangkan River water based on quality standards according to PP No. 82/2001 class 2. Water quality analysis was carried out at 3 points representing the upstream, middle and downstream parts of the river. Data were collected in 3 periods of collection, namely April, September, and December 2019. The parameters measured and observed were 32 parameters consisting of physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters. Based on the research results, there are 16 parameters that do not meet the quality standards consisting of 2 physical parameters, 14 chemistry, and 2 microbiology. Based on the parameters that do not meet the quality standards, the dominant pollutant sources are predicted to come from residential activities because the values of BOD5, COD, TSS, oil and fat, detergent MBAS, Total Coliform and fecal Coliform do not meet the quality standards at all sampling points at 3 measurements. The results of the research can be used as basic data for domestic liquid waste management in the Cisangkan River Basin, Cimahi City. Keywords: Cimahi, Cisangkan, domestic, water quality.
AbstrakKota Cimahi merupakan wilayah penyumbang beban pencemaran yang besar terhadap Sungai Citarum. Terdapat 5 sungai di Kota Cimahi yang terindikasi tercemar berat diantaranya adalah Sungai Cisangkan. DAS Cisangkan ditempati oleh penduduk dengan kepadatan tinggi dan belum dilengkapi dengan sistem pengelolaan air limbah domestik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pengendalian pencemaran air yang sesuai untuk Sungai Cisangkan. Pengendalian difokuskan kepada air limbah domestik sesuai dengan PerMenPUPR No. 4 Tahun 2017. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa mutu air Sungai Cisangkan masuk katagori cemar berat dengan parameter yang tidak memenuhi bakumutu diantaranya BOD, COD, TSS, Fecal coli dan Total Coli. DAS Cisangkan meliputi 10 kelurahan, berdasarkan hasil penapisan 7 diantaranya akan menerapkan sistem terpusat dan 3 kelurahan menerapkan sistem setempat. Pengelolaan secara terpusat akan menggunakan perpipaan yang akan menyalurkan ke instalasi pengolahan air limbah. Sistem setempat direncanakan dengan menggunakan tangki septik biofilter berkapasitas 200 kepala keluarga per unit.Kata kunci: Sungai Cisangkan, limbah, domestik, pengelolaanAbstractCimahi City is an area that contributes a large pollution load to the Citarum River. There are five rivers in Cimahi City that are indicated to be heavily polluted, including the Cisangkan River. The Cisangkan watershed is occupied by a high- density population and is not equipped with a domestic wastewater management system. This study aims to determine the appropriate water pollution control strategy for the Cisangkan River. Control is focused on domestic wastewater in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing No. 4/2017. The results stated that the quality of Cisangkan River water was categorized as heavily polluted with parameters that did not meet the quality standards, including BOD, COD, TSS, Fecal Coli and Total Coli. The Cisangkan watershed covers ten sub-districts; based on the results of the screening, 7 of them will implement a centralized system, and three villages will apply the local system. Centralized management will use piping that will supply the wastewater treatment plant. The local system is planned using a biofilter septic tank with a capacity of 200 households per unit.Keywords: Cisangkan River, domestic, wastewater, management
