A green and efficient procedure was established to synthesize 1,4-dihydropyridines via one-pot Hantzsch reactions in buffering conditions without the use of organic solvent. In this method, Glycine-HCl buffer solution was used as solvent and catalyst reaction; therefore, using this method has several benefits including high yields, an environmentally friendly procedure, short reaction times, and a simple work-up procedure. All the compounds were characterized by TLC, FT-IR, 1 H NMR and elemental studies.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
