Abstrak: Lesson study (LS) adalah sebuah proses pengembangan kompetensi keprofesionalan guru secara sistematis yang bertujuan untuk menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih baik dan efektif. Tahapan LS yaitu Plan, Do, See. LS mensyaratkan stabilitas kebijakan pendidikan, kurikulum fleksibel, budaya refleksi diri dan kerjasama. Kelebihan LS adalah berorientasi pada siswa, bekerja sebagai tim, mengembangkan teknik mengajar. Pengembangan LS dalam profesionalime guru yaitu merencanakan tujuan pembelajaran dan materi pokok; mengkaji dan mengembangkan pembelajaran; memperdalam penge-tahuan yang diajarkan; memikirkan tujuan jangka panjang siswa; merancang pembelajaran kolaboratif; mengkaji proses belajar, perilaku dan hasil belajar siswa; dan, mengembangkan pedagogis.LS dilaksanakan dengan membentuk kelompok LS, memfokuskan LS, Merencanakan Research Lesson (RL), membelajarkan dan mengamati RL, mendiskusikan dan menganalisis RL, serta merefleksikan dan merencanakan kembali LS. Manfaat LS diantaranya memicu munculnya motivasi untuk mengembangkan diri, melatih pendidik "melihat" peserta didik, menjadikan penelitian sebagai bagian integral pendidikan, penyebaran inovasi dan pendekatan baru, menempatkan para pendidik pada posisi terhormat.Kata Kunci : Lesson study, Implementasi, Profesionalisme Abstract: Lesson study (LS) is a competence development process in a systematic teacher professionalism which aims to make learning better and more effective. Anggota kelompok tani KMPG Rumpun Mas Desa Teluk Kulbi Kecamatan Betara Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat Jambi adalah petani dengan komoditas yang diusahakan yaitu tanaman pinang dan kelapa. Tanaman pinang diolah oleh menjadi biji pinang kering sedangkan kelapa diolah menjadi kopra. Pengolahan kedua komoditi ini menghasilkan produk samping yaitu kulit buah pinang, sabut dan tempurung kelapa. Kelompok tani KMPG Rumpun Mas belum memiliki pengetahuan tentang manfaat kulit buah pinang, sabut dan tempurung kelapa yang dapat menambah pendapatan petani. Produk yang ditawarkan yaitu biobriket. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mengenalkan teknologi pengolahan biobriket kepada kelompok tani. Metode kegiatan yang ditawarkan adalah sosialisasi, demonstrasi, pelatihan pengolahan dan pembuatan rencana usaha biobriket. Pengabdian dilakukan dalam 3 tahap kegiatan. Kegiatan pertama melakukan sosialisasi pemanfaatan kulit buah pinang, sabut dan tempurung kelapa. Kegiatan kedua yaitu melakukan demonstrasi dan pelatihan pengolahan biobriket. Dan kegiatan ketiga adalah pelatihan pembuatan rencana usaha biobriket serta evaluasi terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilakukan. Kegiatan dihadiri oleh anggota kelompok tani dan BUMDES Teluk Kulbi. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan penyerahan paket teknologi berupa modul kegiatan pengabdian dan peralatan pengolahan biobriket. Respon anggota kelompok tani selama kegiatan berlangsung sangat baik. Peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti setiap tahap kegiatan pengabdian.
Coffea Liberica is a coffee plant that grow at lowlands and specifically on peatlands. Unlike Arabica and Robusta, Liberica coffee is large and able to grow up to 9 meters in height. Tea as a refreshing drink made from coffee skin which called cascara tea, had been developed in Indonesia and around the world. However, tea that made from green coffee skin is rarely been produced. This study used vary drying temperature (70, 80, 90℃) and time (12, 18, 24 hours). Refreshing drink products had a yellowish brown color with a hint of bitterness and tea leaves aroma. Drying condition with temperature of 90℃ and 12 hours of time duration is resulted in the most preferred beverage. The dried green coffee skin had 5.73% moisture content, 12.58% crude fiber, 4.78% ash content, pH 3.8, 9.95 of total polyphenols and 86.08 of antioxidant content.
Areca nut coir contains several chemical compounds, i.e., cellulose (34,18%), hemicellulose (20.83%), and lignin (31.6%). These chemical compounds are a source of carbon in the manufacture of activated charcoal or adsorbents and coconut coir is a material containing lignicellulose which can be used as a substitute for fuel. One way to use areca nut and coconut coir is to make biobriquettes. Processing of areca and coconut coir into biobriquettes deals with numerous production factors, starting from additional materials, labor, production equipment, and other materials. Processing costs are conducted to obtain higher prices and higher profits than without a production process, so value added analysis is needed. The purpose of this research is to find out the added value generated from processing areca nut shells and coconut coir into biobriquettes. Data were obtained from primary and secondary data. The methods used in this research are descriptive and quantitative methods. Based on the results of the research, processing of areca shell charcoal and coconut coir into biobriquettes starts from ordering raw materials, maintenance and storage of raw materials. The production process is conducted by weighing the raw materials, carbonizing, milling, sieving, mixing charcoal flour with tapioca flour, moulding, drying and packaging. and added value analysis shows that the business plan for processing areca shell charcoal and coconut coir into biobriquettes obtains an added value of Rp. 3,077/kg of raw materials. A large added value of zero (Rp. 3,077> 0) means that the utilization of areca nut shells and coconut husks into biobriquettes generates added value.
