Aim/Purpose: This study aims to investigate the relationship between the knowledge management (KM) process and the performance of construction companies. The ultimate goal is to promote better efficiency and competitive advantage in the construction industry by making the best use of knowledge. Background: While attention to KM is currently on the rise, as shown by the number of studies conducted, research on KM in the construction industry of Indonesia is still very rare. However, organizational learning as the implementation of KM provides an opportunity to improve the construction industry, and thus there is an urgency to conduct research on this topic. Methodology: This study lasted for three months and used the survey method, with 100 questionnaires distributed to contractors of grade 6 and 7 on the islands of Java and Borneo in Indonesia. A total of 54 returned questionnaires were deemed complete and eligible for further analysis. Data analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling method with partial least squares (SEM PLS). Contribution: This study helps to measure the relationship value of the KM process and company performance. Findings: The results of this study indicate that the process of KM has a significant and positive influence on company performance, and there is a positive interaction in the process of KM and company performance as well. Recommendations for Practitioners: Construction companies need to perceive that activities undertaken in a construction project should always be assumed to be a KM process in order to make strategic and effective decisions that can result in improvements to customers, finance, internal business, learning, and growth. Recommendation for Researchers: Research on the KM process and information technology needs to be developed more, so that construction companies can apply this knowledge to explore problems and create solutions, resulting in methods to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness. Impact on Society: This paper helps to understand that KM activities provide initial benefits and guidance for companies that want to apply KM. Future Research: Innovative and new ideas to cultivate the KM process in the construction industry need to be explored and developed to improve the implementation.
Aset infrastruktur bangunan gedung di lingkungan kampus berperan penting sebagai sarana penunjang kegiatan akademik maupun non akademik. Universitas Palangka Raya sebagai penyelenggara pendidikan akademik memiliki aset infrastruktur bangunan gedung yang dalam perkembangannya mengalami beberapa perubahan nama ataupun jumlah gedungnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasi aset infrastruktur bangunan gedung di Universitas Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Data primer diperoleh melalui pemetaan aset infrastruktur bangunan gedung menggunakan drone. Data sekunder berupa dokumen bangunan gedung dari subbagian barang milik negara Universitas Palangka Raya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Universitas Palangka Raya memiliki 254 aset infrastruktur bangunan gedung yang tergolong sebagai 67 gedung tempat pendidikan, 49 gedung kantor, 37 gedung laboratorium, 4 gedung tempat olah raga, 5 gedung pertokoan/koperasi/pasar, 1 gedung perpustakaan, 3 gedung garasi/pool, 3 gedung tempat pertemuan, 21 bangunan parkir, 2 gudang, 5 gedung tempat ibadah, 1 bangunan kesehatan, 1 rumah negara golongan I, 27 rumah negara golongan II, 17 asrama, 1 mess/wisma/bungalow/tempat peristirahatan, 1 rumah susun, serta 9 gedung tempat tinggal lainnya. Bangunan-bangunan tersebut diklasifikasikan menjadi bangunan gedung sederhana sebesar 57,5%, bangunan gedung tidak sederhana bertingkat rendah sebesar 42,1%, dan bangunan gedung tidak sederhana bertingkat tinggi sebesar 0,4%.
Building holds significant importance for the college to facilitate learning activities. Over time, buildings deteriorate and require regular maintenance to ensure their functionality and reliability. The aim of this study is to identify the type of damage, determine the percentage of damage to building components, and estimate the cost of maintenance for the buildings at Universitas Palangka Raya. Data collection involves conducting surveys and documentation. The analysis includes identifying damage to building components, calculating the volume of damage and total volume of building components, determining the percentage of damaged building components, and analyzing the cost of maintenance. The study reveals that out of 12 buildings at Universitas Palangka Raya, 13 types of architectural damage were found in various building sub-components. These include 0.526% of loose roof covering, 3.597% of fragile/eroded ceiling frame, 3.118% of fragile/damaged ceiling, 3.688% of the loose panel, 1.837% of cracked aluminum window glass, 58.594% of lost and damaged wooden door, 43.403% of lost and damaged planting key, 23.750% of the lost hinge, 3.725% of broken and cracked ceramic floor covering, 100% of cracked and loose concrete floor covering, 100% of rusty roof construction, and 0.769% of loose column pole cover sub-components. The total cost of maintenance is estimated to be IDR 207,463,000.
Perkembangan konstruksi bangunan gedung saat ini sudah berkembang semakin pesat dari segi desain dan kualitas serta mendukung ramah lingkungan yang dikenal dengan istilah bangunan hijau. Bangunan hijau merupakan bangunan gedung dengan beberapa persyaratan dan mempunyai kinerja yang terukur dalam hal penghematan sumber daya. Di Indonesia sudah banyak bangunan gedung menerapkan konsep bangunan hijau. Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Nomor 02/2015 dibuat untuk menjadi pedoman dalam menyelenggarakan bangunan hijau baik pada bangunan gedung baru ataupun bangunan gedung yang sudah dimanfaatkan. Akan tetapi di Kota Palangka Raya belum diketahui keberadaan penyelenggaraan bangunan hijau ini. Penelitian tentang bangunan hijau di Palangka Raya masih sangat jarang dilaksanakan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui penerapan kegiatan tahap pemanfaatan bangunan hijau di Kota Palangka Raya. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei, dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan melakukan wawancara secara langsung kepada para pengelola bangunan gedung. Ada 31 orang responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Responden tersebut memberikan penilaian tentang penerapan 14 kegiatan pada tahap pemanfaatan bangunan hijau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 90,45% sudah menerapkan dan sebesar 8,55% belum menerapkan.
