Modeling the traffic demands accurately has important significance for network resource utilization and performance optimization. The uncertainty of demands has made the long term forecasting of traffic a particularly difficult problem. So the traffic model named as sliding scheduled lightpath demands (SSLDs) is considered in this paper. A timedisjointness maximizing algorithm is proposed, which is combined with simulated annealing (SA) algorithm to solve routing and resource assignment problem for SSLDs. This solution is evaluated and compared with two fixed routing algorithms. Simulation results show that SA algorithm has a better performance for routing and resource assignment.
Research P2P streaming media scheduling algorithm. Aim at how to make sure that the smaller number data blocks reach priorly, propose an evaluated priority based P2P streaming media scheduling algorithm(EPBSMSA). The algorithm calculates the data block priority according to its rarity, urgency and transmission time. Simulation proves that the algorithm is effective.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
