Tomatoes are a globally cultivated and popular vegetable. The output and quality of tomatoes are significantly influenced by the use of organic fertilizers. It was discovered that organic fertilizers increase tomato productivity and improve fruit quality. The influence of organic fertilizers on tomato yield and quality is shown to be complex and dependent on soil organic matter, total soil nitrogen, organic fertilizers kinds, and other variables. In this review paper, we evaluated 769 data sets from 107 research papers and determined that organic fertilizers can enhance the tomato yield by 42.18%. Compared to the control group, soluble solids, soluble sugar, lycopene, vitamin C, and nitrate were raised by 11.86%, 42.18%, 23.95%, 18.97%, and 8.36%, respectively. In general, the soil organic matter >20 g·kg−1 and organic fertilizers significantly improved the tomato sugar/acid content ratio and VC, whereas under total soil nitrogen >1 g·kg−1, organic fertilizers had significant differences in tomato soluble solids, soluble sugar, lycopene, and vitamin C, with different organic-fertilizer types having different effects on tomato quality. When comparing animal and plant organic fertilizers to other forms of organic fertilizers, we observed that tomato quality varied significantly. We also evaluated the impact of different cultivation methods, soil organic matter, total soil nitrogen, soil pH, and types of organic fertilizers on the tomato yield and quality. The results gave valuable information and direction for the use of organic fertilizers in greenhouse production.
The disparities in parental investments might affect preschool children's early learning experiences and quality, and result in inequality in children's future development. Based on 282 three-to-five-year-old children and their families from the China Family Panel Studies in 2018, this paper adopted multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between parental factors and education expenditure in preschool education. Independent variables include three domains from parents, which are parental economic background, parental educational attainment, and parental educational attitudes. The findings revealed that parents' educational attainment is positively correlated with household preschool education expenditure. Second, parents who have greater economic background pay more on preschool children's education. Third, parents' educational expectations on children also have a positive effect on education expenditure. However, parents' age and emphasis on children's education have negative correlations with education expenditure on preschool children.
Background Two cases of orbitofrontal cholesterol granuloma masquerading as frontal sinus mucoceles were reported to understand image findings, clinical and histopathologic features of orbitofrontal cholesterol granuloma to improve its diagnosis and treatment. Case presentation Two East Asian patients aged 41 and 27 without personal or familial medical or trauma history presented with the common complaint of proptosis and inferomedial displacement of the eyeballs. The computed tomography (CT) of both cases showed an irregularly shaped, well-defined lesion in the left frontal bone associated with bony erosion. The lesions resulted in the bone absorption of frontal bone and orbital roof, which extended into the superior orbital space. Anterior orbitotomy through subbrow incision by drainage and curettage resulted in a curative outcome. The histopathological examination revealed inflammatory granulation tissues, fibrous capsule wall, cholesterol clefts with altered blood pigments, and calcifications, consistent with the diagnosis of cholesterol granuloma. No recurrence was observed for one year after surgery in one case and three years in the other. Conclusions When the following features are observed: orbital CT exhibits cystic lesion with irregular bone destruction in the superolateral orbit, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) depicts lesions are hyperintense signals on T1 weighted images (T1WI), and T2 weighted images (T2WI), and the contrast-enhanced imaging reveals that the most of tumor is showed a non-significant enhancement, orbitofrontal cholesterol granuloma should be considered.
