Andréa Grano Marques MOTHER-INFANT RELATIONSHIP WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF POST-PARTUM DEPRESSION: A QUANTITATIVE ANALYSISABSTRACT: Current study analyzes how depressive symptomology in females during the post-partum period affects the mother-infant behavior. Qualitative research comprised interviews with six mothers, aged between 20 and 38 years, attended to at a Basic Health Unit, and who exhibited symptoms of depression during the after-birth period. The half-structured interview was employed for data collection. results from content analysis revealed that mother´s depression symptoms affected the mother-child relationship within three categories: affective ambivalence during dyade, mother´s difficulties in breast feeding and instability in the infant´s sleep. During the pregnancy-puerperal period, the mother has to be psychologically supported to acknowledge, prevent and interfere on factors that affect her mental health and promote the healthful development in mother-child relationship.KEY WORDS: motherhood; mental health; mother-infant health. The environmental scenario requires the participation of the society in the integration of individual responsibilities to the political action. The recycling pro-environmental behavior contributes to the proper disposal of solid waste, a major challenge in urban public management. The article aims to analyze the scientific production of the pro-environmental behaviors and recycling in order to weave notes that promote behavioral changes provided for in public policies. The PsycINFO, Scielo and EBSCOhost databases were consulted using the keywords: environmental attitudes, pro-environmental behavior and recycling. We selected 51 articles, among which predominated the investigation into motivation to recycle behavior, influence of social network and social norms. Environmental attitudes and behavior to recycle have shown to be related to social norms, motivation, identity, altruism and awareness; these should be considered when planning public policies and environmental awareness actions.
The present study aimed to investigate the effects of a multi-professional intervention model on the mental health of middle-aged, overweight survivors of COVID-19. A clinical trial study with parallel groups and repeated measures was conducted. For eight weeks, multi-professional interventions were conducted (psychoeducation, nutritional intervention, and physical exercises). One hundred and thirty-five overweight or obese patients aged 46.46 ± 12.77 years were distributed into four experimental groups: mild, moderate, severe COVID, and control group. The instruments were used: mental health continuum-MHC, revised impact scale–IES-r, generalized anxiety disorder-GAD-7, and Patient health questionnaire PHQ-9, before and after eight weeks. The main results indicated only a time effect, with a significant increase in global MHC scores, emotional well-being, social well-being, and psychological well-being, as well as detected a significant reduction in global IES-R scores, intrusion, avoidance, and hyperarousal, in addition to a reduction in GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scores (p < 0.05). In conclusion, it was possible to identify those psychoeducational interventions that effectively reduced anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress symptoms in post-COVID-19 patients, regardless of symptomatology, in addition to the control group. However, moderate and severe post-COVID-19 patients need to be monitored continuously since the results of these groups did not follow the response pattern of the mild and control groups.
