-020Thermodynamic Investigations of Liquid Gallium-Cadmium Alloys.-The activity of Cd in liquid Ga-Cd alloys in the 723-851 K range is determined by an electrochemical technique using LiCl-KCl + 5 wt.% CdCl 2 as molten salt electrolyte. The system exhibits a strong positive deviation from Raoult's law and does not follow the regular solution model. The thermodynamic data cannot be interpreted according to the Darken's quadratic formalism. The system shows poor stability in the 0.25 ≤ x Cd ≤ 0.45 composition range indicating a tendency for immiscibility in this composition range. -(SHAMSUDDIN, M.; SINGH, S. B.; NASAR, A.; Thermochim.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
