Indonesia need to strengthen the national economy to face the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in the end of 2015 by growing Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which has entrepreneurial characteristics. Currently there is an increasing activity of women in SMEs. This research aimed at identifying and analyzing the forming factors of women’s entrepreneurial activities that contribute to grow new enterprise on processed potato business.This study is located in Kerinci regency because there were increased entrepreneurial activity by women. Primary data were collected through questionnaire to 111 women entrepreneurs of potato processing by the sampling “census” technique, and the data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The exogenous latent variables were entrepreneurial characteristics, personal characteristics, opportunity, and resources. Where as women’s entrepreneurial activities and grow new enterprise as endogenous latent variables. The results showed that the built model had goodness fit and good reliability measurement variables (CR≥0.70, VE≥0.50). Women entrepreneurial activities were reflected the most by resources (γ=0.66) and entrepreneurial characteristics (γ=0.59). Entrepreneurial characteristics of women entrepreneur were formed by motivation (λ= 0.54), risk taking (λ= 0.32), and innovation (λ= 0.95). Thus women who processing potatoes in Kerinci regency have the entrepreneurial character. Women’s entrepreneurial activities positively proved contribute to grow new enterprise on processed potato business (β=0.95). Facilitating new venture program, strengthening of capital program, and business training to women entrepreneurs should be a priority of the Indonesian government programs in the future to compete in the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community).

Perkembangan Agama Islam di tanah Jawa tidak terlepas dari peranan para wali dan kesultanan-kesultanan Islam pada masa itu. Salah satu kesultanan yang berperan besar dalam penyebaran Agama Islam di Jawa adalah Kesultanan Demak. Kesultanan Demak adalah kesultanan pertama di Pulau Jawa yang sangat berpengaruh bukan hanya dalam menyebarkan agama Islam sampai ke daerah-daerah pedalaman, tetapi Demak juga menjadi tempat transitnya para pedagang Islam yang datang dari timur dan barat, di tangan Demak daerah-daerah yang sebelumya dibawah kekuasaan Hindu-Buddha ditaklukkan lalu di-Islamkan. Namun dibalik itu semua, terdapat seseorang yang sangat berperan besar yaitu Raden Fatah. Raden Fatah adalah pendiri sekaligus penguasa pertama Kesultanan Demak. Di tangan beliau Demak berdiri dan berkembang pesat menyaingi kerajaan-kerajaan lain pada masa itu. Berbagai macam cara diterapkan Raden Fatah untuk terus mengembangkan Demak. Selama 40 tahun beliau mengabdikan diri untuk Demak, lalu setelah beliau wafat perannya itu digantikan oleh anaknya.The development of Islam in Java was inseparable from the role of the Wali and Islamic Sultanates at that time. One of the sultanates that played a major role in the spread of Islam in Java was the Demak Sultanate. The sultanate of Demak was the first sultanate on the island of Java which was very influential not only in spreading Islam to the interior areas,but Demak was also a transit point for Islamic traders who came from east and west. It was in the hands of Demak that the areas that had previously been under Hindu-Buddhist rule were conquered and then converted to Islam. But behind all that, there is someone who plays a big role, namely Raden Fatah. Raden Fatah is the founder and first ruler of the Sultanate of Demak in his hands Demak stood and grew rapidly to rival other kingdoms at that time. Raden Fatah applied various kinds of efforts to continue to develop Demak. For 40 years, he devoted himself to Demak, then after he died his role was replaced by his son.

Waste banks are one of the solutions to reduce waste in Indonesia. The role of waste bank managers is not the same as scavengers, they are expected to have entrepreneurial characteristics and personal characteristics. This study is aimed to identify and to analyze some factors of entrepreneurial activities contribute in the growth of sustainable waste banks. This study is held in Sawangan Depok. The first research phase of primary data was collected through a questionnaire to 111 active waste bank managers using census techniques, and the data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result shows that the entrepreneurial activities are most influenced by entrepreneurial characteristics γ=0.70). Entrepreneurial characteristics of the 'waste bank manager' are formed by motivation (λ= 0.40), risk (λ= 0.49), and innovation (λ= 1.00). It impliens that the higher inovation held by 'waste bank manager', the higher possibility held to growth of sustainable waste banks.

Pendidikan adalah komponen utama dalam mengembangkan sumber daya manusia. Dengan pendidikan yang baik maka dapat menghasilkan sumber daya manusianya yang baik pula. Dalam hal ini, tenaga pendidik berperan besar dalam mendidik anak-anak muda agar berbudi pekerti luhur, cerdas, dan bertakwa pada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Adapun maksud penulis melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada siswa-siswi di kelas V tingkat sekolah dasar di salah satu sekolah yang berada pada wilayah Talang Kelapa, Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metode penelitian kepustakaan dan metode penelitian deskriptif adalah metode yang digunakan oleh penulis, dimana metode penelitian kepustakaan menggunakan data yang diambil dari berbagai literatur seperti misalnya buku, artikel, tesis, skripsi, disertasi dan lainnya, sedangkan penelitian deskriptif adalah penelitian yang melacak suatu objek, sistem pemikiran, sekelompok orang ataupun peristiwa yang sedang terjadi. Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan dua teknik dalam pengumpulan datanya yaitu melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan didapatlah beberapa metode pembelajaran yang paling sering diterapkan pada siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa khusunya kelas V yaitu diantaranya terdapat metode pembelajaran curah pendapat (brainstorming), diskusi kelompok kecil (small group discussion), dan tanya-jawab (question-answer).
