The purpose of the study. To analyze prevalence of diseases of musculoskeletal system in the Arkhangelsk region. The methods. The data of official statistics was used to implement analysis of general morbidity of main diseases of musculoskeletal system of adult population the Arkhangelsk region during 2010-2015 as compared with corresponding morbidity in the North-Western Federal and the Russian Federation in general. The results. In the Arkhangelsk region, among general morbidity percentage of diseases of musculoskeletal system made up to 4.2% (7th rank). The increasing of common morbidity of diseases of musculoskeletal system in adult population was marked in the Arkhangelsk region up to 14% and in the Russian Federation up to 7%. Since 2010, in the Arkhangelsk region the study established increasing of common morbidity rheumatoid joint inflammation up to 22%, spondylopathy up to 65%, osteoarthrosis up to 32.4%, osteoporosis up to 46% and systemic diseases of connective tissue up to 11.5% surpassing average Russian indices. At that, number of cases of reactive arthritis decreased up to 17.2% Conclusions. In the Arkhangelsk region, the register of diseases of musculoskeletal system on the basis of region rheumatological center is to be developed to implement an objective assessment in the existent situation.
Goat milk is a good source of fatty acids, proteins and minerals. It is classified as a functional food because of its high digestibility, alkalinity, buffer capacity and certain therapeutic properties in human nutrition. Goat milk has technological advantages over cow's milk, such as the smaller size of fat globules, which provides a smoother texture in derived products, lower s1-casein content, which results in smoother products, higher capacity for water retention and lower viscosity. The flavor and taste of goat milk and dairy products is stronger than other types of dairy and dairy products, which would limit their consumption (Gamage et al., 2016). The production of dairy milk products is considered a good alternative for consumers with special needs such as babies, adults and people recovering from various diseases.
The objective of this study was to assess the effect of addition of phytonutrients from dry distilled rose petals (DDRP) in the feed on the meat quality and boar taint of entire male pigs. A total of 30 male 146 days old pigs from Danube white breed with an average body weight of 67 kg were allocated to one of the three groups -control (castrated male pigs -C), entire male pigs (EM), and EM fed with addition of 5 g of DDRP in 1 kg of feed (EM+R). At the age of 186 days and average live weight of 109 kg, the pigs were slaughtered and samples of m. Longissimus lumborum (LL) were subjected to analysis of meat quality characteristics (pH 45 min, pH 24 h, water holding capacity (WHC), L*a*b*c* colour space), proximate composition of the meat, fatty acid composition, androstenon and skatole content. The results showed that sex category had much more influence on the investigated traits than DDRP. The two groups ЕМ pigs presented lower backfat content (P<0.001), lower intramuscular fat content (P<0.001) and higher lean meat percentage (P<0.01) in LL muscle, compared to C group. An increase in the n-6 and n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids proportion and especially the content of alpha-linolenic acid, and intensity of meat colouring in the intact males, in comparison to castrated males, were found. The boar taint detected in the meat showed a trend of decreasing in the group consuming dry distilled rose petals.
