The time-differential perturbed angular correlation technique has been used to study the electric field gradient at lS'Ta impurities in the intermetallic compound HfiNi. The results of the measurements show the presence of a single nuclear quadmpole interaction. At room temperature the frequency of the interaction is UQ = 92(1) Mrad s-'. The electric field gradient V,, and asymmeuy parameter 11 exhibit a pronounced temperature dependence in a range v m g from 78 to 1125 K
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
