Background: Intracystic (encysted) papillary carcinoma (IPC) is a rare distinct entity of breast cancer, usually asymptomatic, sometimes presented as breast mass or nipple discharge. Pathologically can be divided into pure form, or associated with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or invasive carcinoma.
