An attempt has been made to reveal the general characteristics of two-quanta cascades, populating the low-lying states of an excitation energy E< 1 MeV. The difference observed between the experimental cascade intensities and statistical model calculations has been analysed. Qualitative explanation of the measured two-quanta cascade intensities was achieved in the framework of a quasi-particle phonon model description of highly excited states. A considerable enhancement was revealed of the radiative strength function of the E2-transitions in the studied nuclei.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
