The social inequalities facing Francophone communities in Ontario often appear to be articulated around the minority status of their language within the province. These difficulties are exacerbated for Francophone women living within Ontario considering the precariousness of their living conditions as well as their limited access to social and health services available in their language. This article offers an intersectional analysis of the precariousness of Francophone women from the Ottawa region through the prism of structural violence. It shows that their experience of precariousness is complex and is articulated around several conditions that are not necessarily related to their language. These conditions also contribute in maintaining these Francophone women in a recurring state of precariousness
