Switched reluctance motor (SRM) is good alternative for electric vehicle (EV) because of its known advantages like less mass, concentrated phase windings, improvements in power electronics technology, etc. In this study, a PID fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is proposed to reduce the torque ripple of SRM that has two inputs 1) the integration of the speed error 2) the sum of the speed error and the derivative of the speed error. The Mamdani type is used for the fuzzy inference system and the defuzzification type is bisector. The simulation results show the small ripple of the rotational speed and better electromagnetic torque of the SRM with the proposed FLC.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
