The KdV equation has many applications in mechanics and wave dynamics. Therefore, researchers are carrying out work to develop and analyze modified and generalized forms of the standard KdV equation. In this paper, we inspect the KdV-mKdV equation, which is a modified and generalized form of the ordinary KdV equation. We use the fractional operator in the Caputo sense to analyze the equation. We examine some theoretical results concerned with the solution’s existence, uniqueness, and stability. We employ a modified Laplace method to extract the numerical results of the considered equation. We use MATLAB-2020 to simulate the results in a few fractional orders. We report the effects of the fractional order on the wave dynamics of the proposed equation.
This study aimed at evaluating print media’s agenda regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), flagship Belt and Road initiative, and a huge development plan between China and Pakistan. For this purpose, researchers collected data from a Pakistani newspaper The News International and a Chinese newspaper Daily China to compare the portrayal of CPEC. Quantitative analysis was used for collection of data, which was collected through purposive sampling. The timeframe of the study is from January 1, 2018, to June 30, 2018. The results supported the study’s objectives and hypotheses. It is concluded that both the newspapers covered CPEC; however, The News International published more CPEC-related project stories than China Daily. The former paper published 57 news stories, while the latter published 33. The variables of the study were revenue and economy, services and employment, transport & infrastructure, energy & power, investment and security, debt and economic aid, environmental destruction, cheap labor, ethnic conflict and international, and sovereignty. Study revealed that both newspapers framed the project positively, although some frames were negative.
The present finding aimed at studying "Usage of Social Media Applications and Social Interaction Patterns among Teenagers". Keeping in view the major concepts of the study, Uses and Gratification theory and Dependency theory is applied. In the current study, data were collected from the students of schools and colleges through the survey research method. A well-designed questionnaire is used for data collection. A purposive convenient sampling technique is used. A sample of 400 students is selected. The analysis of findings reveals that teenagers more frequently use WhatsApp (81%). Teenagers like Education-related content on social media applications (66%). The findings also reveal that teenagers agree that the use of social media applications has reduced Indoor Activities (79%). A correlation test is applied. The hypothesis of the study is that there is a negative relationship between times of using social media applications with content liking on social media applications. Times of using social media applications are negatively correlated with the reduction of Indoor Activities, Offline Friendship, Outdoor Activities and Sports.
The aim of this study was to find out the social construction of reality of media regarding women rights’ violation in Pashtuns and Punjabis communities in print media, for which Urdu daily Express was selected. The researchers collected data from the newspaper’s Peshawar and Lahore editions from January to March, 2015. For the data collection, the researchers used coding sheet which was devolved under the consideration of objective and research hypotheses. Data was collected through purposive sampling methodology. The results of the study explored that both the editions of the daily Express covered the issues of women rights’ violation. It also disclosed that Peshawar edition has given more coverage on the front, city and back pages to women rights violation than the Lahore edition. The results disclosed that the Lahore edition has not ethically covered news about women rights’ violation, while the Peshawar edition covered it more ethically. It is concluded that Peshawar-based journalists are following cultural values of Pashtun society, that is why the issue has been covered positively in the area.
Purpose of the Study: As various researchers found, Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms among students. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of Facebook on students' exam performance. Methodology: For this Study, data was collected from the regular students of BS social sciences at the University of Malakand. The researcher used quantitative methodology to obtain fruitful results. A questionnaire was designed to assess the effect of Facebook usage on students, and data was collected from 182 students' by simple random sampling technique. The analysis of the results was carried out through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Main Findings: The Study found that the Usage of Facebook affects students' exam performance in Malakand. The study's results supported the hypothesis that the more the students used Facebook, their exam performance would be poor. Application of the Study: This Study is essential to encourage students, parents and teachers to use Facebook for educational and learning purposes because most students use it for leisure time and relaxation. This study will help the students to manage Facebook usage time during exam days and to use it for refreshing and revealing boredom. It will help aware teachers and parents about the adverse effects of Facebook. The study will contribute a little to the existing literature gap on understanding the hurdle and blessing opportunities of Facebook in the exam environment. The study's novelty: This is an exciting study involving university students and will discover the effects of Facebook on exam performance. The study will be helpful by bringing awareness among university students that Facebook Usage affects their exam performance. The study will also find out the relationship between Facebook usage and achievements in the exam. The students will come to know how spending more time on Facebook during exam days will affect their studies.
