This study aimed to propose a tool for measuring the research performance of researchers, institutions, and journals in Indonesia based on bibliometrics. Specifically, the output of this measurement tool, referred to as the S-score, is described, as well as its implementation on the main database portal in Indonesia. The S-score was developed by a focus group discussion. The following 8 evaluation items for journal accreditation were analyzed in the development process: journal title, aims and scope; publisher; editorial and journal management; quality of articles; writing style; format of PDF and e-journal; regularity; and dissemination. The elements of the S-score are as follows: number of journal article documents in Scopus, number of non-journalarticle in Scopus, number of citations in Scopus, number of citations in Google Scholar, the hindex in Scopus, and the h-index in Google Scholar. The S-score yields results ranging from S1 to S6. The above metrics were implemented on the Science and Technology Index, a database portal in Indonesia. The measurement tool developed through the focus group discussion was successfully implemented on the database portal. Its validity and reliability should be monitored consistently through regular assessments of S-scores. The S-score may be a good example of a metric for measuring the performance of researchers, institutions, and journals in countries where most journals are not indexed by Scopus.
Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan penyelesaian Tugas Akhir mahasiswa adalah ketidak sesuaian bidang ilmu dosen dengan tema tugas akhir, beban dosen yang sudah besar dan dosen belum pengalaman melakukan penelitian yang relevan dengan tema tugas akhir mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplemnetasikan metode Cosine Similarity dalam penentuan dosen pembimbing tugas akhir supaya mendapatkan proses bimbingan yang optimal. Cosine Similarity adalah metode untuk menghitung similarity (tingkat kesamaan) antar dua buah objek. Pada penelitian ini dihitung tingkat kesamaan antar judul, topik, dan abstrak tugas akhir mahasiswa dibandingkan dengan data dosen pembimbing berupa keahlian dosen pembimbing, tugas akhir yang pernah dibimbing oleh dosen. Kemudian metode Cosine Similsrity akan memnghitung tingkat kesamaan kedua query tersebut. Nilai kemiripan yang tertinggi akan dimunculkan sebagai dosen pembimbing yang direkomendasikan. Metode peneltian yang digunakan adalah metode modified waterfall. Sistem yang telah dibangun merupakan sistem rekomendasi yang dapat membantu koordinator tugas akhir dalam pendistribusian dosen pembimbing tugas akhir. Selain itu, sistem rekomendasi dosen pembimbing tugas akhir dengan menerapkan metode Cosine Similarity membantu mahasiswa mendapatkan dosen pembimbing sesuai dengan tugas akhir yang diajukan.
Archiving in University that have not been well organized will cause a problems, the documents need for structuring and archives properly in the systems for the good standard a universities. The most importance of ease in finding the required archives is an important reason why it is necessary to develop an archive search system that can facilitate and improve the process of searching the archived document. Apllying cosine similarity algorithm in Information Systems is a solution for University to organizing archived documents, results from this reserach is the systems can show the relavant document from database list with precision 88.8% and recall 76.1% from all the data in database.
Onion is one of the main income sectors in Brebes Regency, since most of Brebes area is rice field. Climate and soil type in Brebes is very suitable for onion cultivation plus onion has a high selling value compared to other agricultural products, it makes onion become the main choice of agricultural citizens. The magnitude of the red shadow from Brebes supplies 23% of national needs. One common problem that arises is how to bridge or facilitate farmers to offer their crops, and make it easier for buyers to locate farmers who sell their crops. One solution is the development of a system that can be an e-commerce web for a special sales promotion media for Gapoktan members (Combined Farmer Group) in Brebes District that will connect sellers and buyers online, and location search media for buyers to more easily find distribution location of the seller by using Location Based Service.
