Abstract-The advancement in multimedia and information technologies also have impacted the way of imparting education. This advancement has led to rapid use of e learning systems and has enabled greater integration of multimedia content into e learning systems. This paper present a model for development of e learning systems based on multimedia content. The model is called "Multimedia based e learning" and is loosely based on waterfall software development model. This model consists of three distinct phases; Multimedia Content Modelling, Multimedia content Development, Multimedia content Integration. These three phases are further sub divided into 7 different activities which are analysis, design, technical requirements, content development, content production & integration, implementation and evaluatation. This model defines a general framework that can be applied for the development of e learning systems across all disciplines and subjects.
The number of students taking online E-learning courses is increasing each day which calls for the delivery of a consistent framework for the development of online courses. This paper presents a new model for the development of online E-courses. The model is called 3C's Model and divides the development of E-learning course into 3 steps; course modeling, course development and course implementation. The model follows the development of E-learning from its initial phase to the final phase when it's actually published online and learners are granted access to it. The 3C's model defines a general framework that can be applied for the development of online E-courses across all disciplines and subjects.
Information privacy has been one of the areas of extended discussion over a past decade. There has been a lot of discussion about the information privacy online. Presence of a privacy page in a website is one way of ensuring privacy in a website. This paper is concerned with the presence of privacy policy in e government websites of Saudi Arabia. During the course of this study we looked for the presence of privacy policy in E government websites of Saudi Arabia. This paper presents the result of the study, and the aim is to draw attention of the governing bodies and Administrators towards the privacy policy implementation in their websites.
With the advancement in computers and technology, traditional way of education has changed from being confined to a classroom to an open anytime, anywhere learning. The system of education and learning has been changed with the introduction of E-Learning system. Over the past few years, there has been a tremendous growth in the development of E-Learning system and applications. There is an increased importance associated with the E-Learning courseware for the successful implementation of educational process. In spite of the importance, there are still some E-Learning courseware that fail to meet the teaching and learning objectives and expectations. These failures can be overcome by the introduction of software development methodology in the development of E-Learning courses. Keeping this idea in mind, this study proposes "E-courses unified process" which is a modification of well-known software development model; the unified process. This proposed process is based on five activities or workflows; requirement gathering, Analysis and design, Content development and assessment, production and implementation and test and Evaluation. Each of these activities is carried out with the four phases of the Unified process which are inception, elaboration, construction and transition.
