In the present paper a novel technique has been developed to compute the resonant frequency and bandwidth of electromagnetically coupled multilayered square patch microstrip antenna (MLSPMA) on low (ɛr=2.33) and high (ɛr=10.8 ) index RT Duroid substrate in S and X band of microwave frequencies. The basic antenna structure considered is a multidielectric layered with a spaced parasitic director. The radiator (lower patch) and the parasitic patch (upper patch) are considered to have same and slightly different dimensions, and are perfectly registered (no offset). It is observed that the antenna geometry can be optimised for the required frequency operation and bandwidth by adjusting input parameters and the thickness of the layers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
