The Stengthening of Character Education Program is one program that can anticipate the rapid development of technology and information in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. One of the spearheads of the formation of children's character is parenting parents towards children, in the initial analysis that we have done we see the problem of character degradation in teenage in Padang Masiang Barus Village due to parenting parents who are less concerned with their children, they tend to give more freedom. This study aims to determine how much influence the permissive parenting parents have on the degradation of adolescent characters aged 10-18 years. This research used a quantitative descriptive with correlational design. Based on data processing with simple linear regression the linear regression equation is Y = 11.49 + 0.961x. The results of hypothesis testing with t test obtained value (3.08)> (1.688). This means that there is the influence of parental permissive parenting on the degradation of teenage characters in Padang Masiang Barus Tapanuli Tenggah Sub-District.
ABSTRAK Keberadaan pendidikan non formal sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, hal ini tidak terlepas dari tujuan pendidikan non formal itu sendiri yaitu untuk melayani warga belajar supaya dapat tumbuh dan berkembang sedini mungkin dan sepanjang hayatnya guna meningkatkan martabat dan mutu hidupnya; membina warga belajar agar memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap mental yang diperlukan untuk mengembangkan diri, bekerja mencari nafkah atau melanjutkan ke tingkat dan/atau jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi dan; memenuhi kebutuhan belajar masyarakat yang tidak dapat dipenuhi dalam jalur pendidikan sekolah. Sehingga diharapkan program pendidikan non formal dapat mencakup berbagai aspek kehidupan yakni pendidikan bermasyarakat, pendidikan ekonomi, dimana masyarakat mampu memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya demi mencapai kesejahteraan hidup melalui pendidikan kecakapan hidup, pendidikan lingkungan, pendidikan budaya dan lain-lain. Cara yang dapat kita lakukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan non formal dalam pengembangan kualitas sumber daya manusia dapat dilakukan oleh penyelenggara pendidikan non formal maupun komunitas pendidikan non formal yaitu: pertama, perlu menata konsep yang tepat tentang program-program pendidikan non formal; kedua, perlu merencanakan program pendidikan non formal berbasis kebutuhan nyata arga belajar; ketiga, penyelenggaraan dan pengelolaan pendidikan non formal secara tekun dan berkelanjutan dengan prinsip-prinsip manajemen yang lebih jelas. Disamping itu kita juga harus meningkatkan kualitas pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan pendidikan non formal agar mereka dapat melaksanakan tugasnya secara profesional Sehingga kesannya pelaksanaan program pendidikan non formal bukan lagi bersifat sebagai sebuah proyek. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of learning media on student learning outcomes in English courses. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach to see how the effect of the use of visual learning media on student learning outcomes in English courses at the Department of Community Education - FIP Unimed. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it can be concluded that there is the large influence of the use of visual learning media on the learning outcomes of the Public Education students that indicated by the post-test results after being given treatment with visual learning media in English courses, then the lowest score obtained is 68 and the highest score is 93. The results of the calculation obtained an average score of 80.00, a standard deviation of 5.4, a variance score of 30.14, then a median score of 80 and a mode score of 84. From the data above, it shows that the results of the learning ability of Community Education students in the English course after being given treatment show a significant increase in Public Education students at the State University of Medan.
The Freedom to Learn Program not only provides a new paradigm for students but also provides new challenges for lecturers as educators in tertiary institutions. Every lecturer in a tertiary institution can establish cooperation by organizing the learning process at other tertiary institutions, but it is still adjusted to the areas of expertise and disciplines possessed by each lecturer. This study aims to see the effectiveness of MBKM learning development activities which are expected to increase student learning motivation. This research was conducted in the Community Education Study Program at Faculty of Education in Universitas Negeri Medan using a quantitative descriptive approach. The number of samples used was 82 people, namely students who took part in the independent campus program. The findings from the results of this study can be described as follows:(1) indicators of learning planning in the Very Good category 14%, Good Category 49% and Fairly good category 21%, while for the bad category 16% (2) Design and Manufacturing aspects teaching materials fall into the very good category by 29%, good category by 52%, Pretty good category by 18%, while for the bad category is 1% (3) Material Submission indicators are very effective category by 23%, Good category by 20%, Enough category Good by 20%, while for the Bad category by 1% (4) Aspects of interaction indicators in learning very good category by 17%, good category by 25%, Fairly Good category by 39%, bad category by 19%. From the data above it can be concluded that based on the results of the analysis of lesson planning, teaching materials, delivering material and learning interactions are the good category.
Kelurahan Pasar Baru merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil ikan, karena rata-rata pekerjaan kepala rumah tangga di kelurahan ini adalah sebagai nelayan, sementara para ibu rumah tangga hanya tinggal di rumah sambil menunggu suami mereka pulang dari melaut. Pengolahan ikan di kelurahan Pasar Baru ini masih kurang maksimal, karena ikan hasil tangkapan para nelayanan ini tidak habis terjual, maka ikan-ikan akan membusuk dan dibuang. Ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang ada di kelurahan Pasar Baru banyak yang tidak memiliki pekerjaan sampingan dan tidak memiliki keterampilan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada ibu-ibu rumah tangga tentang pengolahan ikan menjadi kerupuk ikan, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Adapun yang menjadi sasaran dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang berjumlah 15 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: memberikan penyuluhan bagi ibu-ibu rumah tangga terkait dengan pentingnya pengolahan ikan, melakukan pelatihan pengolahan kerupuk dari ikan, dan pendampingan pengemasan terhadap hasil pengolahan ikan menjadi kerupuk. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah ibu-ibu rumah tangga memiliki pemahaman mengenai manfaat ikan bagi kesehatan tubuh, memahami cara mengolah ikan menjadi kerupuk ikan, dan mampu membuat kerupuk ikan secara mandiri, serta mampu memasarkan hasil olahan kerupuk ikan.
